Good video as always, appreciate the work you put in for these guides :D you doing so much Nintendo content makes me wanna cover the same stuff too, lol. The "bad ending" achievement actually reminded me of a pretty funny story: I remember playing this game when I was really young (like 8), and when I wanted to take a break I encountered the bad ending and was SO scared I stopped playing it entirely. I can't imagine how many kids experienced the same thing LOL.

Good video! Ive mastered the set august 2023 after 60+ Grunty no hit attempts. The Jinjo glitch literally happened to me 4x. I can relate to the pain :D otherwise the set is alot of fun and the struggle feals rewarding in the end.

Thanks for the guide on the missables, was planning to do this one for the xmas event and I would've probably miss the deadline if I needed a 2nd full playthrough.

At 8:44 you can destroy the tentacle If i remember correct with 6 eggs like the shark kinda surprised they did no achievement for that

Just checked the wiki and you're correct that you can defeat the Whipcrack with eggs too (though it says 3). Good to know, if it ends up coming in handy in a future BK hack I'll be sure to highlight your comment in that vid. Good point on defeating Snacker making for a solid achievement idea, since that seems like game knowledge that a decent number of people wouldn't know about.

Awesome video! I believe that jinjo statue softlock only happens on the 1.0 version of the game, so it sucks that 1.1 isn't compatible with the program. I noticed that there were retro achievements for glitches and I'm super interested in trying that out. It does say that all the RBA stuff only works on the PAL version, but as of two years ago, I found a new RBA method that works on all versions of the game, including the NTSC emulator versions. I might contact the author and see if we can fix that up to work on NTSC as well.

I would totally watch a live stream of you doing the glitch subset (Or any set for that matter. Banjo-Tooie just got a huge set revision)! I also saw that you commented on the BK glitch subset wall: That would be pretty awesome if you do end up helping to sort things out and make it fully playable on just the NTSC version.

I think the honeycomb thing is okay for this game. There's achievements in other games that i question (OoT's "beat the game with 3 hearts and no compasses" feels unnecessary) but that is doable.

Since you mentioned Zelda: I'll be doing my first Zelda set some time in 2025, most likely Majora's Mask or Wind Waker, so it will be interesting to experience my first 3 heart challenge in conjunction with an RA set. For WW at least, I currently can't decide if it's better to just play a 3 heart run first and then backtrack to get 100% like I did for BK, or If it's easier to just 100% the first run and then speedrun a 3 heart playthrough afterwards.

I'd wager that bug is a concurrency issue. Not every programmer seems to understand how to handle multithreading even now, let alone back then.

Multithreading wasn't much of a thing until 2006 was it? Not much point doing it until processor design changed to have multiple cores More likely that they have a flag on whether they're collected or not, and multiple tokens accidentally got assigned the same flag

@@Cyber_Cheese Multithreading has been a thing for a lot longer than that. Even before CPU's gave us the facilities for context switches, although before that point you really had to work to screw it up.

It's also hard not to feel the sense of entitlement here with the viewer of a channel dictating the owner what the content should be. Good luck with establishing your own niche reporting channel, which I'm sure will take no time and effort at all to produce.
