You're right. When 4 people engineers leave a company at once, an investigation should be made. When that led to the deadline being at risk, an investigation should have been made.. The CEO kept failing to check up on why things were failing in his company, blindly trusting the one person who had everything to lose. Family always comes first no matter what! And the fact that after Keiichi left along with the others really showed how desperate and pathetic Koji was trying to fix the problems but failing all of them. Though I do feel sorry for the CEO, he should’ve looked into it and handled it properly then this would not have happened. Afterstory: Koji disrespect to Keichi when he wants to take his mother's funeral, and of course what he did made everyone felt upset. Not only Keichi, but also everyone quit. Actually as an engineer and colleague, Keichi treated everyone equally and he always trustworthy and reliable guy but they never expected that Koji did is unforgivable. In addition, Koji even treated everyone poorly and he always take his job seriously. So, he hired new employees and engineers. However, they weren't reliable. It is no wonder the company became out of control. When Koji wants Keichi back, but of course they refuse. Like the video said, the company went bankrupt. Extra: Koji applies to the multiple companies, but they refuse to hire him because of his blacklist and mid age. Plus,there was a rumour about how he disrespect the employee's mother passed. Of course, he lost everything. Including his former president who also face neck in debt. Rumours about now both of them worked at the tuna fishing boat which a blonde handyman offer job for them. Had a couple jobs where the managers seemed to think I and coworkers were 'easily replaceable' or passed over for promotion for less experienced and 'had potential'. First one lasted almost 6 months before bought out after we left, and the second had continually called me for 'help' for a bit over 3 months. Seems that latter stopped after the team failed their contracted support agreement measures 3 months in a row, and the management was 'unexpectedly transferred', but a lot of penalties afterwards due to still being unable to meet those service level agreements after I'd departed. I believe that was a contract loss of 15% of normal fees, which was over $200k/year with a bit over 3 years left on that contract. I was laughing every day as my new job was just across the street from them.

A person who only thinks of their moving up the ladder in a company and not about the people who actually do the work for them is meant to fail hard at some point.
