Yeah really nice, you should however realize that he has a 350 dollar add on shaft that will not be sold with the driver that brings that rig up from $629.99 Qi10 LS driver to $979.99 lol. Figured that should be stated lol. The stability added with that new Qi10 LS (and even the Qi10 non LS) with the Velocore tech in that shaft has got to be amazing. Nice swing, as always keep grinding!
@lydonjr__9 ай бұрын
At this level of play the shafts are typically custom, no? Sure the average golfer won't have a 350 dollar driver shaft I completely agree. But the LS is specifically made for pro's

The prices are getting so stupid. Just looked up a review for TaylorMade's SIM, released in 2020: $529. Four years later the price has gone up 20%? No way this new driver is 20% better than a 2020 driver.

We named our driver after one head that has 10k MOI, but by the way your going to need at least an extra club for your second shot because of how much ball speed you lose on the 10k MOI head. You’ll gain tighter dispersion off the tee but your proximity to hole is going to be worse when you have to hit a 7 iron instead of an 8 iron into the green….lol.

I went and hit the new Qi10 standard and Qi10 LS today. The original stealth still feels better and got the same distance for me. The LS did have lower spin, but it was so low of spin that it hurt carry distance. 🤷🏻♂️

Great review. I would love one of those
@robe219 ай бұрын
The only head they didn’t show ball speed was the Max head. That’s because the ball speed is substantially lower than the other two. Not only is the head not as hot, but the way the neck of the driver head is made it shortens the overall length by half an inch or more. If you want to watch a really good review that gets into the numbers watch Rick Shiels break all three heads down. Rick carry’s a driver around 280 yards and the Qi10 Max was around 265 yards of carry or slightly less actually. That’s a lot to give up in my opinion. It’s at least one club more on each second shot. Most golfers aren’t going to want to sacrifice that much distance to gain a slightly better dispersion. There’s other ways to maximize forgiveness without sacrificing over a clubs worth of distance off the tee. If you already bomb your drives than maybe. But if you hit the ball that far to begin with you probably don’t spray the ball all over the course. I can’t think of what this driver caters to other than a shifty marketing campaign and videos like this where they don’t disclose the ball speed…lol Looks like a swing and a miss from Taylormade on this one!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly, golf is becoming out of reach for many of us ordinary folks. I'm retired and thought I was going to play a lot of golf, but it turns out i'm lucky to get a couple of rounds in a week. I treated myself to a whole new set of Taylormade clubs this past year and settled on a set of M4's 2021 edition and a spider gtx putter, all in almost $2500. Checked the trade in value yesterday for my driver towards the Qi10, it was $90, geez! I do love my M4's by the way, but I don't know how people keep up with the new gear. I have settled for living most of my golfing dreams through people like Grant. He seems like a nice guy, puts out great content and I feel he appreciates his viewers support. I'm not jealous, just envious, but at the same time happy that we help him live a great lifestyle of golfing which he shares with us all. I'd love to see him involved in setting up a full on, You Tube tour, no pros, just amateurs, that would be great. I enjoy watching the youtube golf as much or more than the pros these days.

Good point Mar10usss - also the point has to be made that whilst I understand all the numbers and the better stats especially with the 10k technology and more stable face etc etc. sucsessful tournament golf is all about managing your game and course managment so you can put a good score down on the scorecard under tournament pressure. There are so many tour range players that are so good its frightening but stick them in a tournament with pencil in hand and they cant handle the pressure and its missed cut all day long. Not saying you dont get more confidence with knowing you have the best equipmemt and how you trust the tech in that equipmemt but all the most sucsessful golfers that have won multiple majors know how to instinctually manage their games and finesse plays a big part in that not power and clubhead speed. how many of the long range driving champions are tour champions and major champions?
