When that livestream poped up in my notifications i instantly went to figure out which channel was hacked, luckily the playlists still had your name. So good to see they didn't delete anything and that you got it back quickly. TFA was never meant to be tied to phone numbers for this exact reason, many security analysts bring this up all the time, numbers are recycled and can be breached by social engineering, where as that physical key can never be circumvented.

The other day, I was gonna rewatch Fate/Cero. Then I saw the Tesla scam thing. I was like, “what’s going on?”. Then I saw comments that said you had been hacked. I was shocked that this happened. Then I see a video of a guy talking about this and I learned that you weren’t the only one that this happened too. I was livid that someone would do this. Glad to see you back.

It's fortunate that KZbin has gotten a lot better at responding to these hackings in a timely manner, cause I remember even just a year or two ago when it could be a week or more before you could get your channel back unless you were able to make a big enough noise on other social media. It's despicable that this bullshit is still happening though and both KZbin and Google as a whole really need to step up their game to crack down on it. Won't be following you on Twitter though, for a number of reasons including the fact that Musk, the now owner of Twitter, was one of the people promoting crypto and its some of the people in the crypto space that are doing this shit and I refuse to support it.

Checked the channel a few hours later and saw all your videos gone. I Unsubbed in case something weird would happen if I was subbed, looks like I was worried for nothing. In any case I checked "Danmachi Abridged" to see if you were back, and you are. i think a change for youtube should be if a channels security options are turned off and all the emails change the channel should be frozen and authentication from the email that was there from LAST WEEK or was the previous email has to be given for it to be undone this then should give youtubers time to undo the hack and should stop hackers from ruining a channel with scam links in a downloaded livestream as you said, this took them 3min to hack into, barely any time at all with this idea they would have to put a SERIOUS amount of effort and time into doing the same thing which could potentially stop cryptobros from doing this

No mention of the initial hack with a bad email link? Seems like your pushing all the blame on KZbin but it's pretty easy to assume you probably clicked something you shouldn't in the first place. These kind of hacks are almost always initially from a social engineered hack and some of the responsibility is on you in that case if not all. And if somehow you did nothing and got miraculously hacked perhaps should've mentioned that since it's kinda a mystery of how this happened in the first place and then pointing fingers.
