You don't have to worry about the RAM. It loses everything as soon as you turn the PC off. You should replace all SSDs and HDDs entirely. You're good for sure after that, the attacker was not sophisticated and even this is likely overkill. You got lucky, you should have been completely owned, lol. After a fresh install of windows on a new drive, you can safely mount the old drives as d: e: etc and copy whatever you need from them, but stick to safe stuff like documents and scan them with an antivirus. Config files from OBS, etc. should be totally safe, they're not executable just data.

Just so you know, RAM is what's called "volatile memory," which means it cannot store data without power, so there is not a way for your RAM sticks to be hacked in such a way that the hack would persist after removing them and transferring them to a new setup. RAM sticks are completely wiped within just a few seconds after each time you power off your computer, so they are completely safe to use in a new computer setup.

RAM can’t get hacked. Assuming your OS is installed on an SSD drive such as an NVME, just do a flash format which takes literally 5 seconds to completely wipe the drive. Reinstall Windows and you’re good to go. I doubt they infected your BIOS.

Remove the drive from the infected computer. Get the adapter to plug it into your other computer like an external drive. Do a Low Level format on it. This will remove any virus on the drive, including in the mbr/boot sector. Doubt the clown did anything to the BIOS, put the sdd back in the comp and install your operating system back on it. Should be good to go. If you're worried about the BIOS, you can flash the BIOS with a thumb drive with the latest BIOS download from the manufacturer website.

My unsolicited advice: DBAN the drives. Re-flash your BIOS. Turn on and set up 2FA wherever you can. Obtain and use a hardware key like a yubikey where possible for an added layer. Switch to using email aliases for your accounts so you can see what they are targeting because they probably still are. Alert your friends since they had full access to your PC and are probably going after them now and will sell your info if they decide to give up. Also obviously, your old classmate might want to know they are owned. This seems like targeted spear phishing so they probably went through her stuff thoroughly.

If you do an OS wipe you can wipe everything back to factory and itll also let you wipe the partitions off your hard drives also. Any phishing code would be wiped. Ram is volatile memory so it deletes as soon as your pc turns off/restarts. Just make sure you have your windows key when you do this.

If you've reformated the ssd that had the OS on it, you should be fine. If you left it offline, you could manually remove the remote application, but it's safer to just reformat and reinstall. The reason he felt confident it didnt matter if you changed your passwords was because he assumed he still had remote access into your pc and browser. Even if you changed the passwords on another device, they'd sync. He never needed to know your passwords, and probably never had them. For anyone else who gets caught by this kind of hack, they can't do anything if the PC they have access to is offline. Shut down and disconnect ethernet. Then go to repair or reinstall while offline. They probably dont have your passwords, but you should change them anyway to be sure.

luckily he seemed like he was 14 and not the smartest guy, he could've easily changed all your passwords before you did when you were still in the dark about all that, atleast if email verfication is the only factor and you dont have 2FA enabled for that. since he had access to your computer like remote control he can just check your emails and everything. you were really lucky there!

I thought that would of been your first major flag to "test out a game I'm working on". Even then, fair heads up if people do have this sort of thing happen to them, because it's happened to me. If you download the file, you can go into the properties of the .exe and see any form of attachment or second .exe that attaches itself. Sometimes, you can even put it into winrar or a Hexeditor and see what's inside. Stupid thing, but you've learned now, glad to see your accounts are fine.

Completely new hardware isnt necessary. Hacking ram memory can only be temporary, in order to access user data and such while the pc is powered on. That is because when you power off the machine, ram loses all its content. Wiping storage by formatting all the drives is a good idea. Im fairly certain that would get rid of any lingering malicious stuff although i could be wrong somebody please correct me. This a textbook example of a phishing scam. Those programs usually arent sophisticated enough to "hack hardware" especially if they target individual people. Just my two cents on this topic. Glad you got everything back.
