I got hsp for 2 and a half month now.... life is really hard, rash all over from feet to belly, butt back arms hands. Joint pain muscle cramps... I really need help... I took prednisone and the medication destroy my stomach. I got ulcers for taking prednisone so don't take any prednisone... so far the food that you love love eating is your worst enemy at this time... don't eat salty foods, oily foods, spicy foods, red meat, pork...don't drink coffee, alcohol, energy drinks or anything that has high sodium life is so hard without good food and drinks.... this purpura is not a joke the pain is real and embarrassing be careful of what you eat and drink because this illness is a back and forth disease. Best of luck to who ever is going through this may God stand by us and let us win this fights.

Thank you for this 💗 just got this diagnosis. It’s an autoimmune disorder. Upper respiratory infections often trigger it (specifically in the blood, IgA -antibodies- are responsible). KZbin has lots of information for you. It’s a rare disease that mostly affects children. In adults it can often attack the kidneys, so it’s important to make sure your kidneys get checked out when you’re having episodes of the rash. Your PCP was awesome to refer you to those specialists. I’m currently working with my rheumatologist and derm to get it managed.

I had this condition when i was 2. Since i was so young I don’t remember anything, but my parents said that I couldn’t walk for a month. I had the “freckles” on my hole body except in my face. And i also had problems with my kidneys years after the diagnosis.

Thanks for video, I am on 2&1/2 years now with zero breaks. Constant daily purpura I take Dapsone to control the rash but it is never gone. Worse on planes and taking ibuprofen also drinking alcohol. I am at my wits end as this controls my entire life. I am waiting for the day where it disappears. Mine is limited to skin solely so far.

I stared getting purpura spots about a month ago. All over my legs & arms. I tested negative for HSP & I can’t seem to figure it out. It’s hard to find a lot of information online about purpura. I was diagnosed with this about 20 years ago and the only thing I see that triggers it is when I touch paper. Moreso recycled paper. As soon as I touch it I break out and then they get bigger when I put pressure on my legs. I am still on the hunt for a natural solution to help reverse this, but for now I use German Chamomile essential oil from Young Living to help me with the itchiness.

Hi this video helps me a lot because right now i have the same situation like yours, I'm nineteen years old and a female, I already consult two doctors the first one was not a dermatologist just a pediatrician doctor which didn't able to identify my condition just gave me an anti-bacterial tablet and cetirizine while the second doctor was a dermatologist, he gave me a three kinds of med which is cetirizine, Prednisone and a clobetasol proprionate which helps my rash fade and got better and also he avoided me to eat food like process foods, dairy products, fishy/slimy foods. He said that it was an allergy but he don't know what kind of foods or thing that trigger it.

I also experienced severe stomach pains and vomiting along with red dots on my legs. Then came again after many years. Only the dots on the legs took a long time and got better in 1 month. Now I am 32 years old. I'm struggling with this again. The red dot has come again on the leg.

I'm crying watching this, i'm so sad that this disease will not be cured on me, it's been more than 1 year. I didn't find a doctor who diagnosed this right away, but it was directed here. the dermatologists say it's an allergy but I wonder why suddenly I have allergies? I'm also on a diet, it makes me lose a lot of weight. I'm having a hard time eating right now, afraid that it will reappear even though I know it shouldn't be like this. they say it could be due to stress, I don't know. This past year has been very hard for me to just have to deal with this disease. until now my tears don't stop dripping

I enjoyed hearing your experience! I think I had this disease but was never officially diagnosed. I had the same symptoms where the spots developed on my legs. I thought I had bed bugs because I was just freshly moved into college. It was awful because it was so hot where I lived and I always wore pants or leggings because I was insecure about my legs. The seam of my pants would often cause more spots because I assume it was too tight or maybe it irritated my legs. After class I’d walk back to my dorm and my feet would be swollen but not as swollen as yours shown. Mine developed as red/purple and then eventually disappeared and left light brownish spots. I eventually went to an urgent care which they diagnosed me with mites. Was not mites because I went to visit the health center at my local university for a second opinion. They didn’t know what it was and did blood (mostly normal results) and urine tests (they found little blood in my urine but did not find it to be alarming). One of the physicians did mention that it looked like petechiae. I did my own research and figured I had this disease, but I never connected all the symptoms together. They told me to set up an appointment with a dermatologist which I did. By the time it came to my dermatology appointment the disease was almost gone though. I figured out, myself, that the more stressed I was the worse the rash was. Also, if I had any alcoholic beverages I would break out all over my legs. During this time I also developed a bad case of psoriasis on my head. I also had severe leg pains during the time of this also. I don’t know why but my legs would just aches, hurt randomly, or sometimes after a simple walk or a hike they’d be in pain. Also, after a couple months the brown residue spots finally disappeared from my legs (I thought I’d have them for forever(.

I did have to keep my feel elevated most of the day maybe did it for 5 month or more but now I can do my regular daily activities.

Their is no cure. It would leave completely. You’ll have good day and bad ones. Try to eat better and a lot of anti inflammatory food. I’ve been good for months.

I've had hsp going on a year and a half and it has totally changed my life. I contracted this disease at the age of 40. I have been on prednisone for the whole time and without it the rash comes back aggressively. I also have renal problems now and I practically live on oxycodone and oxynorm pain killers. When I first studied the disease I found out that it is a killer for those over the age of 40 and I was devastated. I believe it is by the grace of God that I am still here after about 25 hospital admissions due to severe pain and other complications. To be honest if it wasn't for my faith in JESUS I would have probably committed suicide, so I thank GOD for his son. I pray for anyone else suffering as I do. The way I see it, death comes for us all. JESUS promised eternal life and no suffering if we put our faith in him. That has given me hope that it will be over one day.

My 21 month old was just diagnosed what did you do for the itching he won’t stop and the hydrocortisone cream only healed for short periods of time and he can only use. 2 times a day

It's been almost one year now I'm diagnosed with this hsp in summer it was little down but now winter started and it's getting worse again I'm really really worried I hope it will be cured soon but my confidence is going away before I used to go for swimming and running now I can't do any of those activities even in summer I'm covering my legs and arms 😭😭😭😭 I just don't know what to do I'm just giving up now I hope next time I can say everything is going well

Hi. I got HSP when I was 4yrs. It last for 3years with horrible abdominal pain ,rashes etc.. Then it disappeared. It again started when iam 17. Now iam 25. Still iam having rashes, but no abdominal pain second time. Iam taking prednisolone when it is full of edema like cellulitis. But I think steroids are not good for health. I'm still worried. I think it happens when I get resp infection. Better to avoid cold drinks.

Sorry to hear that. I still have it but it isn’t as bad as the beginning. I try to keep my legs elevated during the day and not stress a lot. I also take some vitamins daily.

Same condition here it is not going away I am taking steroid, yes it has subsided the symptoms to some extent it is very less severe as compared to initial days but I am afraid that when I will stop steroids it will again become severe. I was told to take steroids also but I wanted to try home remedies first and luckily it hasn’t gotten worst but better. I notice when I wear light clothes or shoes it’s when I get it back. And also praying for u. Hopefully there is an official cure for us soon.

Otherwise, first time when I had it, it went away automatically after one month without any treatment then it came back after 3 months when I had non veg food. Since then its been 5 months now it is not going away.

Did u get the pfizer vaccine for covid? I got the booster and got a full blown scary raah all over my legs, feet ,arms and lower stomach. Wondering if vaccine triggered it

It happen to me also, all of those things happen to me after I got my vaccine, and the before I got my booster I ask the doctor if is it ok to get shot if I was diagnose with vasculitis and he said yes, but he suggested moderna and then after that it comes out again..😓

I got it after a Moderna booster shot. It's a reaction to the protein used in the vaccine. It's almost 3 months and it still hurts my legs and feet are like footballs they are so swollen
