- you already have a filter, the splitter works as a filter (check it's configuration by opening it) - I only build 2 crank drills because combustion drills are much better and wood is renewable resource, also there is a lot of wood in the nodes (even the small starting node has lot of it) and the next drill technology is far away, furthermore it will speed up crafting since you don't have to go around cranking the drills and can explore the world for vital resources - there is no need to put splitters above forges and assembler or to turn the tube facing them, they have the highlighted collection range and will collect resources straight from the tubes that enter the collection range - you are not getting any mana fibers because the chest has collection range of 1 and will take out the silver ingot from the splitter as soon as it enters the splitter, not allowing it to go past the splitter (need to move the chest 1 space to left and add a tube between it and the splitter

tabletop simulator can be a good way to stream/record board game content and honestly I would love to see you put out some of that kind of content, even if it's uncommon because of the time commitment it takes to do a full board game playthrough and the difficulty that you might have getting together a group of players to record that long. Though one advantage of tabletop simulator is you can save your board state so you can put it down and pick it back up the next day without having to start over.

You're not alone with the infinite resources! Even if you dont start with infinite, I feel like it would be a good idea to build up to an infinite source by late game.

Love board games, and have done so for decades (That word hurts to say). I've gotten to the point where I'm actually comfortable giving suggestions if anyone wants, especially you Wander, just let me know what kind of game you enjoy, even better if you can give a specific game or two, and I'll give a recommendation.

1:04:52 oil is compressed and heated biomass, so it is technically renewable. The timescale for natural renewal is rather colossal, artificial renewal produces ethanol (don't quote me on this) out of biomass.

Biomass, specially sugarcane is used in Brazil (fule systems/engine have a liner to prevent damage)

There is a factorio mod that gives a crank generator. It is a little accumulator with a slow discharge rate, and zero charge rate, but you use the rotate (R) key to fill it up instead, which is cute.

I am really enjoying this. I didnt know oil refined into biomass! I know once you get the refiner you can refine the wood into biomass which is a great value for fuel. I would love to see some board game content. im currently looking for a new game store after a move. please inform us of any board game related content, im interested!

i dont think "crank" power would fit inside factorio where you are kind of an all-observant entity controlling the character down below With satisfactory however, crank power would sit right at home.

As fleshed out as Factorio is, it is by and far NOT the ecologist’s automation game. The big Factorio content creators have strong opinions against environmentalism, and rumours have been floating around the grapevine that Wube’s developers share that sentiment. I wish I never gave them my money, frankly.

From what I've heard they're not the best. Unfortunately every time I try to point that out in a video people get really mad at me, so I've given up for the time being. That said, I doubt I'll cover factorio again on this channel. Satisfactory, AutoForge, Oddsparks, Factory Town, Desync, & Techtonica all do the same things but better in my opinion.

@@wanderbots I'm pretty iffy on factory automation games in general, which sucks because it's one of my favourite genres. Main reasons are almost none of them focus or even touch on the implications and impact of the factory, the expansion, the pollution or the flora/fauna/inhabitants that would be affected. I think we're in the same boat, though. We both want a factory automation game that challenges the player to optimise in ways that are both more efficient and better for the environment, and where the impacts of better environmentalism are a focal point. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
