2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 Toyota Camry 2.4L inline 4 cylinder.
In March, i got into a car accident. I was driving on the main road heading East. The lady was at a stop sign facing north and i was slowing down to make the next right turn at the stop light. The lane i was on can only make right turns at the stop light. Then she suddenly drove in front of me and then i hit her.
Both cars were still in contact after the accident happened. I stayed still in the car and in she starts to reverse. She was doing more damage on both ours cars. I saw her bumper flip up. She had reversed close to the stop sign. I guess she didn't know she supposed not to move the car.
She came out of the car and asked me if i was ok. i said i'm ok. i asked her if she ok and she was. Thank you GOD for only a minor accident.

Hey Fix it. Thanks for your ever informative videos. About the bumper, I saw my local mech pour hot water on mine and it just assumed it's shape effortlesy. Well it was a shock for me but tell you it worked. No hammering dents left.

Hey there Angel. My daughter crashed her corolla about 2 or so years ago. The damage to her car makes your damage seem like a scratch. I didn't file an insurance claim, as I didn't want the car to be totaled. A body shop wanted $6,000 to repair it. So, i did exactly what you did. I bought oem parts. I got them off of ebay, but they were still oem. Some parts came from pick a part. I took the damaged parts off and bolted on new ones. I took a lot of pictures, and also took pictures at pick a part for reference. Put everything back together, even painted it myself with factory paint. We have a Benjamin Moore paint store here in Jacksonville Florida. They are awesome. I gave them the paint code, and they mixed the paint and put it in rattle cans for me. I as you are, am not a body man. I too like to save myself and others money. I'm satisfied with the way my work came out. If you're satisfied, that's all that matters. Waiting on more of your videos. Stay prayed up my brother.

Reminded me about fixing my relative's 90 Camry v6 back in 2004. Bought hood, core support, headlight, corner light and fender form PYP. Pounded out bent metal behind the headlight, patched the radiator and straightened fan shroud. took couple days but all cost in parts about $150 (back in 2004)had no issue s with color shades (white car)

@@catslivesmatter1268 yep. You're right. I was skeptical of buying bumper covers online at first, but did when I couldn't find a decent on in the junk yard. Sat it out in the sun while I worked on other parts. When I was ready, so was it.

When I was rear ended 8 years ago , The insurance company totalled my car with just bumper damage, They gave me the Bluebook value of $1700 I fixed it and sold it for $1,000 with a salvaged title .It was a 1992 honda civic with 325,000 miles.I was able to replace it with 1998 Honda Accord with 130,000 miles for $1,600 Still runs until now with 156,000 miles on it.Watching all your video helps me a lot of fixing it myself.Keep up the good work kaibigan and God Bless.

Here’s my suggestion for bumper dimples like yours. You can use heat gun it will not crack the plastic bumpers. That’s how I learned from working for Toyota body shop in San Diego for three years. Use low heat.

I'm not a body man either but ecology was a life saver for me found the same toyota camry 04 front bumper,hood,windshield,grill,& lights @ 1/2 off sale all for $350 saved me alot & was so lucky to get in white. Nice fix, but I think best way is dissasembling car first, remove damaged parts, go to junkyard and try to find with matching color, way cheaper!

The silver in the early 2000s Camry is very popular you might find the bumper at the junkyard same color so you don't have to paint it... Good job angel 👍🏼

The new headlights look so much better. You can heat up the bumper to try and pop out the dent.

You can use a heat gun on the bumper cover to make the plastic easier to return to the original shape. Or let it sit out in the sun warm to warm it up. Good video I did a similar repair on a Honda.

She was slowly creeping forward, making me think she was just going to join in behind me. It took half a year to get my car fixed and back on the road. Insurance wanted to total my Toyota, I wanted it fixed.

I had similar, but looking back i was lucky only the bumper took a shot. I ended up just leaving it so. They wanted 500+ to fix it. I've been curious though because on my car i read if i bought the bumper cover it would need some kind of holes to be drilled out, not sure.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully you're ok. I got into an accident a few months ago, got hit in a parking lot. Ripped from my driver's door to the back bumper (06 focus); got totaled. I didn't think it was worth it to try to repair as the driver's side tire was also stuffed back into the fender well by at least 6 inches.

Glad you're both ok. My Pontiac got hit while parked. Right front passenger door, small dent. The guy from the driver's insurance came to see my car and didn't know my Grand Prix also had a V8 version so we chatted about V8's and he told me he used to drive a V8 Dodge Charger for work before they switched them to Prius'. Long story short he estimated the damage and they sent me a $1200 check in the mail. I went to the junkyard and got a $60 door and bought tools with the rest👍

Heat the bumper with a heat gun and use the backside of a screw driver or dolly and straighten out the bumper as much as possible. For the cracked part, use some strong stapler and put it together.

Good thing you did not have to deal w/ spot welds or airbags.I had to in my own crash .I just replaced them w. fat rivets since I do not care to weld.BTW...there are paint online companies who sell rattle can size paint for most cars..just send them your VIN. and only if still factory orig.paint.

Brian Dunne Keep in mind that the Camry for North America is made both in USA and Japan, so they may have different clip linings (or they may be the same since they are Toyotas). The junkyard may have an abundance of the TMMK Camrys and no Tsutsumi Camrys or vice versa.

Most of the time, after market headlights are not water tight. I put a bead of good silicone caulk where the two pieces come together.
