I Got Laid Off | 2 Weeks Notice | Preparing My Next Steps | Pt.01

In the beginning stages of my 2 weeks notice, preparing for what's to come. This is my journey as an artist, what I'm planning next, and the steps ahead in my creative career.

Sorry, to hear that you were laid-off from a job after 4-years of employment. While, I earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering was unemployed in both my 30's (after working for 7-years) and also in my 40's (after working for 12-years). So, I know what you are going through. Lifetime employment with, just one company has truly become a thing of the past. Not sure what State, you are currently living in or if renting an apartment, you have the option at the end of your lease to move in with a family member. This will help to greatly reduce your monthly expenses. Also, make sure you continue to attend trade and professional associations within your field and, please let them know at each meeting that, you are now unemployed and actively looking for work. In addition, please also apply for your State's unemployment benefits and also ask if, they have any special programs or services for professionals (smile ... smile).
