Chloe, I’m so glad you shared your perspective because the rest of us can look at you and think, I want what she has. But what we don’t realize is that the higher you soar, the more people want to make you fall. I’m so sorry that people you even trusted treated you this way. It also just goes to show how mistreated and trampled on Asian women can be. I really like what Eric said, about the audacity of putting ourselves out there as AAPI. I would love to hear more on your courage to do this, as I have actually just left my 15 year copywriting career to do more video, a dream I’ve had for 20 years with the goal of getting more stories like ours out there. I can totally relate to both of you! Chloe, I’ve faced criticism for being a job hopper too. It’s just that my ADHD makes me know right away when I’ve accomplished what I need to. I’ve also received awards or promotion offers before leaving a job, but I always turn them down. My parents were so stressed to the point now in my 30’s they have just stopped asking 😂😂 I also create large documents from my friends for almost any topic!

As a Greek girl living in Greece I can´t say that I relate with a lot of the topics you talk about , however these episodes are soooooo entertaining. Both of you are so wholesome and interesting people. Also I watched the episodes kind of in an wrong order, so I recently watched the video, where chloe told the story of the roomate who made the comment about the 30 under 30 thing. I love this so much! I like the story of how you two became friends. I am at the point in myself social life and career where I want to expand my network and reach out to people who I think are cool and/or who I can learn from. My hope is that I can connect with others much in the same way you two described your dynamic. LOL what a great podcast, as usual Chloe is out here killin it. Learning youre a savage and saying like it is, is right within my wheel house of people I get along with. My girlfriend (we've been together for 8 years now) is an absolute savage when it comes to criticism she is definitely not afraid to speak her mind, and she cant hide her feelings on things her facial expressions give it away LOL. We are both in the tech space (shes a power house, I'm a UI/UX Designer & Senior Graphic Designer, and she's a Front End Developer & UI/UX Designer) and she is not afraid to critique my work, which helps me in becoming a better designer. I think our cultures really help as well I'm Mexican and shes Japanese so I have thick skin because my family is not afraid to speak their mind and shes not afraid to speak he truth, but she as an absolute sweet heart too. Its a bummer to see how people came after you and Eric for just speaking about your lives, but I'm glad we get to hear your thoughts and feelings on it all. Keep up the great work guys and maybe some day we will bump into each other or connect in the wild. Great work guys cant wait for more of these.

All of the talk about how you come from poverty essentially and you feel like you have to do extra well and stick with a job because of the stability is what i struggle with on a regular basis. Im not an asian american but i am an afro-latina american and the pressure to perform to even give my community a good look as well compared to what others think of us in the media is high as well. I am currently trying to cope with the idea that its okay to move on from a job or a position that no longer serves its purpose in my life and yes love to hear that sometimes a place is not a good fit for you both ways. ❤ great podcast!

Also people talking bad on others not knowing the situation and just talking bad in general is so cringe and gross and icky and im so sorry. It just feels better to lift each other up and would rather do that then kick someone down in a major event 😢
