I think us, the ones who lost their loved ones (family member,lover or best friend) understand and love him the most bc most people dont understand the pain he had to went through. we still have people that support us but obito... obito had no one, not a single soul and he is a bright example what bottled up feelings does to a person. I don't think naruto is some cartoon for kids, kids can't even relate to what's being told coz they are simply too young to understand the essence of the story. Unlike Naruto most of us humans understand loneliness, love and rejection once we enter our 20s coz by that time we've lost someone most probably, we have been in a relationship and if not then what it is like to be alone. If you watched it as a kid you can't even remember those monologues and dialogues written exceptionally. It is so tough to dub something without losing its essence still they managed to make us cry in Eng too. I know how bizarre it is in my native language. It is like they simply translated it without giving any thought to the choice of words they make. And once you have seen it there is no suspense left int it for you to watch again and even if you want too. It is simply too big. There could be other animes which are masterpieces. But that doesn't change the fact that Naruto is a masterpiece. If it is not for you, you watched it too young. One of the shortcomings of Naruto is that kids start watching it since there is this notion across the world that it is a good cartoon for kids. They start watching it and it is ruined for them, forever. NARUTO ISN'T FOR KIDS.
