At around 9:30 you could also (probably) just have rotated the contraption by 90 degrees, lol. The direction a fireball goes when it's reflected is determined by the facing direction of the entity that damaged it. For some reason, though, the rotation of projectiles is borked and is reflected along the X and Y axes from the direction they're actually going (MC-112474 on the bug tracker), so having the trident travel along the Z axis should launch the fireball in more-or-less the same direction. (This doesn't affect a player/mob shooting the fireball normally as it checks the “source entity” of the damage, which is usually the owner of the projectile if one exists.) (This is my second time writing this comment as I think KZbin shadow-banned the first one or something since I linked the bug report directly.)

@@RenterMan I think csm is definitely the better of the two, though it kinda made me lose interest in the "second part" of the story (after volume 11) where it kinda stopped focusing on Denji and they introduced the girl with the war devil. I do intend on going back to it soon though now that more chapters have been released. As for fire punch, it wasn't a bad manga but, it had kind of a convoluted story with a lack of structure especially towards the end. I just use this picture because I think it's funny lol. All that being said, I do like Fujimoto's work quite a lot. I would say one of my favorite stories by him is his short story Look Back, have you read that one?

3:00 you see him insta-break cobblestone with cobblestone which only happens in creative mode or cheated in haste. If he were in creative mode it would make sense he wasn’t showing his hotbar and him luring the warden into the pool. The warden also showed no sign of aggression with no shrieks and was only agroed by the breaking of the block.

Sadly doesn't work since the firework disappears when it hits the TNT, and the firework needs to exist in order to deal damage to you and thereby be credited in the death message. (This is actually why the “fireballed by Trident” message only works with a trident, as it's the projectile that doesn't disappear when it hits something*. You can also redirect a fireball with an arrow from a dispenser, which sets its “owner” to the arrow, but since the arrow disappears on impact, it won't exist when you get hit by the fireball and you'll just get the generic “burned to death” message from being killed by an unowned fireball.) Primed TNT entities can also only be “owned” by what the game considers a “living entity” (a mob, player, or armor stand), so even if you ignite it with a persistent projectile like a trident (without an owner), said projectile still won't be credited for anything the TNT does. (*There's also area effect clouds, I guess, but those can't damage fireballs.)

@@RenterMan I just did some testing, and I found out some more. If you despawn a ghast before its fireball hits you, there will be no special death message. It will just say that you "burned to death." However, if there was an advancement in the game for getting damaged by a fireball, you would get that instead. The opposite happens with shulkers. You will get a custom death message for getting slain by a shulker bullet, but an advancement for getting damaged by one won't trigger. The opposite also happens with breezes. No advancement, but it gives a unique death message. The breeze wind charge is actually different than one from a dispenser, which means you could get two different deaths that are identical. They have the same name. Wither Skulls don't even work at all with advancements or deaths, which is honestly good to know because that would be incredibly difficult to do.

Death messages are weird. Some have broken detection, some technically only exists because of flawed programming(Death fell accident water was originally supposed to be a text for falling out of water, like the falling off of a ladder-text.
