I’m half black American and half white american. My results were 58% European and 42% African(14-Nigeria, 14-western Bantu, 7-Ghana, mali-4, and Senegal-3. My communities were early North Carolina african Americans and Alabama and Georgia african Americans. Also the southeast Asian you have is probably from the Malagasy people they have southeast Asian ancestry. My grandma also has 1% of that.

I have both of those communities too. What are your sub regions if you have any. I have a lot of Piedmont Plateau ancestry within my sub regions.

I have not gotten the results back and I am so lost understanding 🤦🏾‍♂️ so after I get, do I add up the continents where the countries are the same and that’s the %? I have been working hard the Ancestry website and I am all the way back to 1500 and found out I have so much slave owners and I have no idea at all what I am 😮

I'm African American from the US. My DNA of 98% is found in people living today in over seven different West African countries including 3% Luhya which is a Bantu tribe that is now in Kenya. My other 2% is Amazonian Native American from Brazil. The Bantu people have migrated to many parts of Africa.

My results came back as Early Southern United States with a concentration in Virginia, Maryland, and Lower Mississippi!

@@deneesvacays I have this community with the same sub region as you do. Which means that you have Colonial Virginia ancestry. Very common for us Black Americans. Thanks for showing your results!

If you type in Yoruba art, the sculptures they have of faces looks like yours

4:40-click on Cameroon/west bantu and see if it says “primarily angola” “primarily Congo” or “primarily Cameroon” Before slavery A group of ppl left Cameroon & split up going east, south & west(that’s why everyone has Cameroon dna, but not all was taken from Cameroon) . Most south and North Americans have Cameroon dna but ancestors taken from Congo or Angola The mbundu & bakongo tribe of modern day Angola & Congo was taken to Virginia, North Carolina, or Louisiana, and Colombia, brazil & Mexico . Those groups and countries are usually erased from usa history books cause they were fighting & unaliving 🤵🏼‍♂️👩‍🦳 slave owners to the point, they stopped enslaving ppl from central Africa all together & started getting ppl from west Africa instead. Also now you are west bantu, rock your bantu knots hairstyles)

@@deneesvacays your welcome. I’m learning myself, look up Luanda, Angola-area where Portuguese army parked their ship to remove our ancestors, it’s now a beach resort. The kingdom was originally called kingdom of Ndongo (but now called Angola - look up ppl like Gullah Jack - bakongo tribe man, born in Angola, Enslaved in South Carolina, then joined the Gullah ppl in sc & started one of largest uprising or look up mbundu or bakongo wedding culture - to see what the Angolans are doing now for more connection. ❤️

To be balanced in your research you need to research the African tribes that sold their African slaves to the Europeans as well. The White man did not have come to Africa with cages and shackles. The Africans came to them with Africans in shackles.
