Big, big congrats on your cute new apartment, and what a test of your patience applying and getting approved for it! Really looking forward to seeing how you set it all up. Also a little tip you may find helpful ~ I use the Notes app on my iPhone to store some of my personal records eg account numbers, passport no. , TFN etc and you can LOCK the Note so it’s only opened and viewed using Face ID. That way it’s secure and private, but quickly accessible if you need the info 🌷🌿😘

Rachel, the first piece of advice. Living here in the US. You will have to figure things out through research and or friends. People have become useless. Keep all of your documents together simply because paperwork tends to grow legs and disappear. Congrats on your beautiful place. You're in DC one of the most diverse cities in America. So sorry you had to go through all of that, but looks like it was worth it! Your apartment is beautiful - love the modern vibes in the kitchen - the island is a necessity - breaks up that space. I watch a lot of people in NYC who apply for an apartment and they have to jump through hoops too - so I don't think it's just because you're a foreigner.
