i would have started crying if i was awake during that even if i couldn't feel any pain like just seeing stitches gives me chills 😭 it turned out so well though!!! I'm glad that even though it was scary you still got the results you wanted

omgg i've had ptosis when i turned 20 during college and it affected my self confidence so much i hated it. people around me who didnt know about my ptosis history made fun of my lazy eye and i couldnt look at my face for years and i'd cry every night. i was only able to get corrective surgery after 4 years of having uneven eyes and what you describe about ptosis was literally the same as me. did the procedure twice bcs my eye didnt open enough the first time and the doctor was so kind. my ptosis is cured now and you couldnt really tell there was surgery done and im quite happy with it. this is the first seeing someone sharing their ptosis surgery and i could relate to it so much. so happy yours worked out well in the end ❤

I got double eyelid surgery when I went to Korea in 2014. I don’t remember much, but a lot of the stuff you said is definitely accurate (DRY EYES!!!) and yes I remember recovery was a bit painful, but like she said, results are 100 percent worth it!

There are other conditions that can cause asymmetrical ptosis (droopy eyelid on one side) when you are tired; eg, myasthenia gravis ,etc. If the ptosis still persists after the surgery, I hope you get your health checked up throughoutly to find the underlying cause of your condition.

hi jooshica! i just wanted to say thank you for showing your journey! as a girlie that has ptosis too (i have under eye ptosis and a little bit on my eye lid) i get really insecure with my uneven eyes and i told myself that i would save up money to get surgery to make it even (p.s. im 14 😓). and so its been a struggle for me to find self confidence and i haven’t really seen people talk about their journey, so i was really excited that i have someone to relate too 😂. your post-surgery results looks beautiful and guys, its ok if you choose to have surgery or not. its your choice and your body, so just do whatever makes you happy 😚. dont worryyy you shouldnt get it before at LEAST 18 anyways because your face is gonna keep changing and then it will grow weird. but you have PLENTY of time to save up

Since ptosis only gets worse with age, I know since my Mom's eyes get fully closed from it, getting surgery when it's still pretty much OK, rather when it gets worse is smart. Ptosis is not only a cosmetic problem, it actually can impair your eye sight as well, since the eye is not fully open.

I can't even get contact lenses in my eye and the doctors have to use special techniques to get eye drops in. No way could I be awake for any procedure on my eyes! Props to you for going through with it!

I’m the same way.. 😩 Though, what “special techniques” have they used to get eye drops in? I have a habit of putting them in from the side of my eyes instead. It’s the whole looking at it knowing it’s going to drop that’s the main issue for me.. the anticipation but I suppose also the feeling of it.

This happened to me too but I had done the incision procedure! My left eye started to droop a few months after my surgery and I had it fixed after most of the healing had finished. But doing the incision surgery is really intense at the beginning!

oh i have the same problem. went to korea and i knew i needed incision with ptosis but the surgeon said non incision. well, one eye is still droppy, so im going back again hopefully end of the year. Im not so angry cos i got other procedures done and it turned out very nice

I don't think you needed it, your eyes were perfect naturally, so beautiful, I wish I can have them! But it is ok if u wanted it it'a your life! But I don't get why everyone says they want a plastic surgery too😭like u r beautiful in your own way, ok if some people want it, but it's crazy how the whole comment section wants a plastic surgery! I don't say I don't want to be prettier, but I don't want to change myself forever, God made me like this and I should be greatful for it, not wanting more and more! I feel like I would lost my gifted self forever. I support both doing it and not doing it, I respect everyone's opinion, but for the most people it's rly no need! And mostly the most beautiful people are getting it, while regular not. I don't get it!

As a person with double eyelids which are usually considered pretty, I have never understood why people want them so bad. This is the only reason which is actually reasonable in my opinion.
