Man, where in the world can I get a front rim for my VTX. Seems so hard to find! I love the one you have.
@Lobanoriginals1036 Жыл бұрын
I got the wheel from mototeks.com. It’s a wheel made to fit a Victory / Indian motorcycle, and I made it work on the VTX

I have a 2003 VTX 1300 S that is identical. Same faring. Same bags. The main difference is that the color is honey orange on mine. My VTX has 14600 miles on the clock. It has ultimate seats with brown upholstering. All in all, a sweet ride and bullet proof. I don't like the ape hangers. Mine has stock handlebars with Kuryakin handles.

@Lobanoriginals10363 жыл бұрын
Right now the speakers are just bolted in. They’re not hooked up. I’m trying to figure out what kind of stereo & amplifier to install. Once I decide, I will definitely make a video documenting the whole install…. Stay tuned

Nice build video and build that's the bas kit on stock rear shocks? Any scrapping on heavy cornering?

Yes it’s riding on the stock rear shocks. The bags and fenders don’t scrape at all only the foot pegs when I lean it hard around corners

Does the 2 tail light wires on that fender hook up with the vtx tail light connectors? Or do I have to do some crazy wire, cutting and splicing just to get the lights to work?

I been looking on eBay for a 21” rim like that just can’t find one for a Honda vtx1800 they all say harley
@Lobanoriginals10362 жыл бұрын
I used a rim made for a Victory Cross country. I explain how I did it in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/npvPeoGQapx-iNk. I found the rim on eBay but the company (mototeks) who I got it from, no longer lists it on there. But I believe you can still get the rim from their direct website mototeks.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwjIKYBhC6ARIsAGEds-I8sT8BrDjTqhLPhpuYPk7YdGT1-tj1EUeohxAY9Zzw5Er9rGolsA0aAom8EALw_wcB

Love the build chief!! My only suggestion is 2 n 1 exhaust for each side to fill the gap on the left side bad with no exhaust. Perhaps a cholo setup since the bike over 75% towards a cholo build. Love it!!

Are you still around? I wanted to ask you some questions for my VTX 1800, trying to do some things like you. I ordered my 14in ape hanger bars and just got them but now being quoted like 2500. just for the cables. Help Regards Marcus. I will check back in a few days to see if you replied.
@Lobanoriginals1036 Жыл бұрын
Is the quote you got for the cables and installation? Because you can get extended throttle cables (push and pull) from motionpro.com for like $75.00 a piece. The extended clutch and brake hoses are like $380-$400 for the set depending on the length from www.meancycles.com/store/parts/view.cfm?subpartID=592505

i cant find those wheels on the site anymore, would you might know where else i might find some similar that would fit an 07 VTX 1300c

Some Indian (formerly Victory) motorcycles have the same size wheel bearing and I found a comparable wheel on the mototeks site. Only problem is that the price is significantly higher. It looks as well as the size is exactly the same as the one I have. the only difference may be the size of the Indian rotor, I’m not sure if it’s the same as the victory rotor I used. This particular wheel I found is for a 2014-2020 Chieftain… Here’s the link: mototeks.com/collections/indian/products/52-fat-spoke-wheel-for-indian
