I have had my natural hair silk pressed at Ulta here in Houston about 2 times by the same stylist. I met her by asking her assistance in picking a deep conditioner. I basically interviewed her to find out her thoughts about heat styling and whether she treated each client differently according to their hair texture. She now has her own salon and she still does my hair. I have had my hair heat styled 4 times in 6 months with no heat damage.

As soon as you said Florida heat, I started giggling.😂😂 I knew what was going to happen growing up in Southeast Alabama very close to Panama City, Florida.🤦🏽‍♀️Have you tried any humidity blockers on your hair? I have a hair sheen and IC heat protectant (I think that's the name) that help some living in Maryland but not sure it would help down South though.🤔

You have a thicker texture of hair and you would benefit from a Keratin treatment. A silk press would not cut it because your hair was reverting toward the end of the video and I know it reverted even more once you stepped outside.
