The berserker WAS forced to kill the coven in this scenario. Despite it being a enchanter/jinx/poison/voodoo(bmer) they were knighted, it was just hoping in this scenario the other evil just kill mayor and pray you live. I did that once as ww vs jugg in a 1v1v2 (but there was actually a solo pmer as doc confirmed) so i kinda killed the doc/pmer and just let jugg win, i felt sad for killing the jugg there hehe (town was gonna win if ww/jugg killed each other) or just the solo pmer

Ah, classic prisoner's dilemma. I pulled this off myself recently as Sheriff vs. CL vs. SK. I was all set to kingmake and then the CL told me they were CL, so I just didn't vote anyone and forced them to kill each other XD

Ironicly in the end, I think the best move for evils was (After Admirer got lynched) is to stay home: Since killing each other just causes a town win, Staying home Forces a Mayor to be a King Maker. After this theres 3 scenarios: A) They fast vote mayor, Forcing a Draw B) Mayor decides who wins C) Nowone gets lynched. In scenario C: The prisioner dilema takes effect.

The only way berserk would have won was hoping CL trowing the game and attacking mayor (If they were attacking) Best chances of berserk is to Actually hope mayor sides him, And staying home.

If I am not wrong, berserker no longer transforms as he attacks so CL would have killed him if he attacked. I am not sure if the video is before of after the change, either way CL's best bet was attackig bers in case he stays home and fast vote mayor after. Bers was screwed anyway since CL could kill him and he was knighted, so no auto lose vs mayor, hence CL had a clear path and it wasn't the prisoner dilema. If coven wasn't CL or HM, then it would have been the dilema and bers would have stood a chance, but in this case he lost by default. (unless you include bad plays)

Still trying to pick up the full quirks of ToS2. So Berserker couldn’t leave either of them alive because CL and Mayor both had votes. So he needed to attack the remaining unknown Coven and have the Coven attack Mayor to win by sole survivor or to attack Mayor to rampage them both. CL can’t target Mayor because if Berserker goes on him then Berserker rampages and takes both of his problems out at once. The possibility of Hex Bomb exists, so he can auto lose regardless. Coven has to die. CL needs to Empower attack and kill Berserker or do nothing and hope they’re not targeted. But Berserker transforms into War as long as they get their third kill regardless, so CL’s only real option is to stay home. He can’t risk killing Mayor and killing Berserker is meaningless.

Yeah, I just can’t figure out how War’s not just a Kingmaker in this position. I don’t see his win condition outside himself staying home as well and trying to get one of them not vote him out.

Couldn't they just choose to draw tho? CL and Bers don't kill at night and then during the day the only person that can up and has interest in upping anyone is the CL who would up the Bers. Then the mayor would pardon the vote or they'd lose. After 3 trials are wasted nighttime begins and neither killer kills again because they lose if they do. Then daytime begins and the loop keeps going until eventually a draw happens because no one dies. The other alternative would be CL upping mayor, but that would cause a draw as well as both Bers (who wouldn't be War by then) and CL would kill each other at night

The first scenario doesn't just become a draw though. It becomes essentially Vet Roulette as the CL may feel more emboldened to attack Mayor since Bers showed he doesn't intend to. Which can lead to Bers winning by killing CL while CL kills Mayor or CL winning by Bers keeping his hand close. It doesn't fundamentally change the position, just the information on the other player's mindsets. The other method is a guaranteed Bers win. CL has no way to survive from a Powerful attack that Bers has. Even if CL empowers attack to kill him, he still revives the next day as War and the only player. It's a matter of whether or not the game resolves as a draw before that mechanic plays through or not. But given BMG's anti-draw changes, I'd guess War would be allowed to revive still.

What I like about the evil role is how it makes you not want other evil roles to win and would rather let town win. I think it’s the idea of if I’m going down because the other evil kills me then I’m dragging them down with me while town just sits there with popcorn.

Im unsure on the "3 threw the game by innoing exe" part. Exe killed a vet, i would say that was a kind of fair interchange for an Illusionist, literally 1 less vote coven has to go against (2 vet and exe - 1 illusionist), which is the same than if they had hunged the exe, except the later would mean vet was still around a far more risk for the CKs.. Would it meant they got majority earlier? And 3 had no way of knowing who exe was going to hunt? perhaps and yes, but it really doesnt feel like the situation would have been easier, was a missplay sure, that "could" have thrown the game, but it didnt. And anyway, they already threw with 4s callout towards 14 and consequent defense, it really feels like an unfair deflection of their own misplays towards someone else missplay.

That was a brilliant prisoner's dilemma setup. Berserker had to attack CL because they didn't know what coven role they were, they couldn't let a Hex Master hex them while they kill Mayor because hex bomb, and they couldn't stay home because a CL could kill them with empowered attack, so he had to kill the unknown coven and hope they killed Mayor. CL couldn't kill Mayor because of Berserker's rampage and couldn't kill Berserker because they were transforming and War has invincible defense so they had to stay home and hope Berserker went for Mayor so they could use their double vote to hang War. Neither evil could kill Mayor because it risked giving the game to the other evil.

In the situation where CL forgot about berserker and killed mayor Berserker wins as sole survivor If both evils attack each other Mayor votes out War. If Berserker is afk or does nothing and CL kills mayor CL hangs Berserker as they’re knighted. Any change up leads an evil into a worse Situation. And If CL kills an AFK Berserker it’s a battle of what mouse click reaches the server faster for who wins. Empowered defense here doesn’t change anything as that’s basic defense and Berserker has powerful attack

I think TOS1 is better. The NKs were more balanced. Coven wasn't OP. Mafia was usually the main threat with HM, CL, and Medusa being looming threats (other coven also exist but they are just for support lol). Amnesiac was literally the most fun role. Jugg was hard to win as but fun when you finally do it. PB wasn't just cannon fodder. Pirate was way cooler. The only improvement was WW. Do I need to continue?
