I guess next season Broughy will only let you start once he opens his parachute. Real shame that truck spawn, way to ruin what was otherwise a 9/10 comeback at the last moment.

Crazy to think that even with the death your time without the penalty(in a vacuum) would have been good enough for a third place finish against that field. That being said, after the Observatory really is the only recoverable place to die from. Anywhere else just leaves you too far from any good car spawns.

I love your Chiliad descent, always a thing of beauty. Been meaning to ask you for a while: when leaving the Observatory, why do you always follow the road around to the left (into oncoming traffic) rather than taking a straight line into the jump over the hill? Seems to me a slower and riskier line. I'm sure you have your reasons and I'd love to hear them.

Thank you! I take that line because it is faster. Any time spent in the air unnecessarily is generally slower than staying on the ground and accelerating

Did a little mathing, subtracting your penalty & the time lost by getting scummed on the jump... (math based on speeds & landmarks) You woulda been on track for roughly a sub-16min finish. The final number I got was 15:27.540

Haha thank you! Thought unfortunately I think the maths is a bit off. I was hitting the hail Mary jump at about 21:20, so without the bad truck spawn and minus the 5 minute handicap that's 16:20. A good hail Mary parachute to the finish is about ~40 seconds, so I was on course for pretty much a 17:00 dead on.

Without dying your time would've been 22.07min -5min, that's a 17.07min.. wow
