Just found your channel, unreal! keep being rad! My advice for you to progress, stretch everyday, even if you're not skating, improve mobilty, stand in your skates at home and sqaut as deep as you can maybe againt a wall for balance then move away from the wall! Once you get them knees bending more you'll be flying!! Not hating just want to see you flying!!

I know it may not look like it, but I do a mobility routine every day! That is something I really struggle with though for sure, and an arthritic knee makes it a real challenge. I can squat pretty deep (for an old guy with a bad knee), I just can't come back up from it quickly, and those shock absorbing knee bends are rough to execute quickly. I am making some progress though and really concentrating on it. I have other videos from this same park and I got way more speed and knee bends over the bumps on this session, so that's progress for me! Maybe one day I will be flying!

@@theaverageoldguy hey man, we all have strengths and weaknesses! And with your positive attitude, I'm sure your progress is going to carry on with it's upwards trajectory!

if you you start grinding and you feel that the frame is too tall for you then I recommend the Kizer fluid 5 with 58mm round profile wheels... the frame will be closer to the boot and you won't have such an aggressive angle on grinds. The BIG frames are great but they work better with with Razors products cause of the massive soul channel that tucks in the frame. Razors is also related to Ground Control. Keep it up brodah!!!

They are a bit tall, but I really love the 64mm wheels. The original THEM Street frames had 58mm and I liked them well enough, but the 64's just give me some additional speed and power that my old legs appreciate. I have hit a few low ledges recently with them and they grind good enough for me. I did look at the fluid 5's when looking at these as well as the new FR Oysi frames and it was a tough decision, but I'm really happy so far.

@@theaverageoldguy That's really cool, 64 definitely zooming. Currently on Shifts with Fr/Oysi on round 60s and they feel amazing. You've sparked my interest in the new Blank frame since it's flat 64...Keep on rolling and thank you for the great content 🤙

Just keep skating them you will get better over time for sure.. I tend to test out stuff at times & have found some frames are great others not & others take time

So far I am very pleased with them. I really like the extra speed and more wheel helps with the shock absorption too. They are quite heavy, but the extra speed and smoothness is worth it to me.

Love those frames, kinda the best for everything for us older guys(46 here) street, park, and cruising. good pick up👍

The more I skate them the better I like them. The bigger wheels are really helping my speed and I am able to do some things that were just really hard or me on the smaller wheel sizes.

Thanks! I have worked a lot recently on backwards skating and I think I am finally making some progress. I have done a lot of new things recently and its really exciting and motivates me to get out and skate more.

Bikes racks were the best to learn on. You can grab the top bar to keep from falling, like you did. Just do not get your leg stuck in the balusters. I smashed my knee into them and knocked a few of them out.

If you wanna get rid of the squeekiness, wax on the inside of the shell helps alot
@theaverageoldguy2 күн бұрын
Thanks for the reminder! I keep meaning to do that but once I get the skates out, I always forget until I edit a video, then it comes back to me in all its squeaky glory. Everything I own squeaks: my skates, my skateboard, my shoes, my car, my knees . . . but maybe I can remember to fix the skates!
