“Climb the table, see what happens” reminded me of how my mom got in trouble with my step dad. She built the house they currently live in with a 13 foot cathedral in the combined living room/dining room area. Like 8 feet up the wall they have HUGE windows, like the construction of the house was delayed because the glass for the windows kept breaking on the way to the house because of house big they were. The two smaller ones are about my height (5 feet 4 inches) and the two middle ones are tall than my stepfather- who is around 6 feet tall, maybe a little shorter my stepfather’s tallest ladder was a six foot one. My mom is more my height, so she couldn’t get to the window sill to clean them very well. Her solution? Pull the dining table (which is old as frick) under the windows, put the ladder on top of the table, climb up the table and onto the ladder, and clean the window sills. And she would do this while home alone. She was in the middle of cleaning one day when my stepdad came home and (for once, rightfully) freaked out. Now, when mom wants to clean those window sills, she has to ask her husband to help her and she HATES it lol
