Cube really is special. The first experience I had with cube was playing my grand prix winning friends cube which had unlimited dual lands and other awesome cards I had never seen before. I learned just how good Jitte is by completely destroying packrat with it. I isochron sceptered a doom blade against mono white. I played rock lobster against my opponent's scissors lizard. Good times.

I think you missed lethal at 58:38 . You could have oko'd your sylvan caryatid, minused on garruk, sacrificed the summoning sick token to natural order, gotten craterhoof for +4/+4, that's 16 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 5 = 26, and they h ave 6 toughness to block, dealing 20 damage to their 19 health. I think the only thing you lose to is snuff out.

Lethal missed at 58:28! Turn caryatid into a 3/3, make a 3/3 with garruk, hoof!

Garruk overrun is more damage. In fact your line isn't leathel. Maybe you forgot you had to sac for natural order. He has lethal: Natural order any creature for hoof, turn any other creature into a 3/3, over run garruk, you swing for 29 he blocks for 6. Snuffout gets use pretty good as he saves his sheldred, and we're probably pretty dead. Not that that's why he didn't do it, he clearly forgot garrukl over run, because who wouldn't forget it.

Elk caryatid, make a beast, sac the beast with summoning sickness to natural order, hoof enters the battlefield, gives +4/+4 to all, that's a 7/7 caryatid, 5/6 halfling, 5/6 beast token, 9/9 hoof. That's 26 trample damage with 6 toughness on opponent's board. 26-6=20, opponent was at 19, that's lethal. Not saying it's the best play, but it was lethal unless I'm missing something.

I was skeptical about Skullclamp alongside Natural Order and Craterhoof, but man was M1G3 an insane display!

Skullclamp is probably more powerful than NO and hoof combined. It's just a ridiculous card with busted numbers. There's no reason why it had to draw TWO cards per single mana activation. It's the Oko of Equipment.

I'm not saying the card isn't powerful, just that it might be at ends with the win cons of this particular deck sometimes, lol.

For what it's worth, in M1G3, you just had the win on board by doing green sun's zenith for craterhoof with 4 attackers in play (you don't even need to tap an elf to get there) + craterhoof. That is less sweet than casting atraxa, but it is a virtually guaranteed win.

in my experience, tracker is the best green payoff with nissa who shakes the world, whereas sakura is a very replaceable ramp effect, I would have taken tracker for sure

Can anyone explain why Luis doesn't like Explore in his green decks? Around 10:30 he walks through some potential picks and doesn't even mention Explore. It costs 2, and doesn't necessarily always fix the way that Sakura Tribe Elder can for example. But it does replace itself. I'd love if someone could explain why Explore isn't great I'd appreciate that

He kind of explained it in another pick. Natural order is a very good reason to want creatures as your ramp method. The only real reason to even take explore is because we have snapcaster. It's just pretty mid in decks like this, first you have to have an extra land, so drawing it late is brutal. You can draw elder whenever and it's always going not only fix your mana, but also gain you life, maybe stop something from attacking, sacing to natural order, sacing to skullclamp. Even at it's best (turn 2, with like 3 more lands in hand), it lets us what? Turn 3 garruk? And that's literally it? Seems bad. Doesn't help us get to natural order, because we'd need a dork, but the dork would already do that for us.

@@itsallenwow Also, you need a high land count for Explore to be worth it. A card that just cycles for 2 more often than not is pretty bad, as paying two mana at sorcery speed is a huge tempo cost (Growth Spiral would be better because you can keep instants up alongside it). There are specific decks that want Explore, not any green deck (in fact, not very many green-heavy decks want it).
