Congratulations!!! Well deserved. I've been watching your channel for couple months and working my way through it. I am a new (4 months) white belt 1 stripe. I had been in BJJ about 10 yrs ago inconsistently though due to work commitments. It was a very competitive school and felt I wasn't progressing due to "fighting for my life" as opposed to learning. What I did learn though proved very handy in my career in law enforcement. I've heard you say on your video's how effective BJJ is on a person that doesn't know it a that is a true fact. I am like you older at 57 so appreciate your mindset towards slow your roll and learn the skills. I really enjoy your channel because of the narration aspect which helps me to understand what I am looking at. I have convinced my wife (54) to come out as we have a large group of females and she loves it too. It makes it easier to get away for class if she is wanting to go to so may have been a bit of verbal Jiu Jitsu on my part getting her involved. I haven't introduced her to your channel yet but will shortly. Again I wan to say thank you and i will be buying you some coffee soon. Keep up the good work.

Congrats. I love your analysis. 51 here. Blue belt since 2005, but all years stacked up without the layoffs, its 10 years of mat time. I jut realize how I managed to submit consistently a comp purple belt who often placed 2nd in comp, my former instructor, but literally resented me for beating him. Had to leave cause he not only thought I was submitting enough guys to earn the purple, but he deserve the brown 4 years ago. Good instructor but no plan for us (students), and the worst possible instructor I had since 2005. Finally I am now with this young 21 and comp brown belt instructor, charismatic and caring boy, coaches me each class, by far the best instructor I had. He promotes very slowly, like we feel new belts don't come, but the amount of knowledge I get from him is priceless, so I could carelss if I don't get the purple, just earning those techniques is good enough. Now your channel adds up to my library and I appreciate guys like you who take the time to feed up students. Again, thank you.
