I Got Pulled By The DVSA and The Police! Part 1 of 2

In todays video we are back with another trucking vlog in this episode as you can probably tell we made a mistake, and that mistake caught up with us. We start our week off doing loads from The Royal Highland Show 2024 but it all goes wrong when we get pulled by the DVSA / VOSA and of course The Manchester Traffic Police.

Business is brutal mate. If your not they all will be brutal against you. One tip. Wear gloves. Had to many accidents with chains n Warwick’s. And it keeps your steering wheel and handles clean.

Long as you do your job properly, go above and beyond make sure you cover your self on every angle then you have nothing to worry about. Trucker Tim had the same issue when he changed his number plate but didn't do the tachograph and they gave him 7 days to get it sorted. Granted he got nailed for his tinted windows which launched a full investigation into the maintenance and he antics with his side pipe and smoke. Me personally have only had one encounter with the dvsa in 2 years of driving and everything was fine. The company I work for want the curtains tight, buckles and straps tucked under the buckles and the loads strapped.

Have you considered that handheld videoing is illegal whilst in control of a vehicle? You should have your camera mounted to the window etc when using it whilst driving. It’s 6 points and £200 fine if someone should report it.

It’s a grey area that one. Mate it’s illegal to hold a device that can send or receive which a GoPro can’t

@@ShaunThomson_ Fair enough. The law states ‘It’s illegal to hold and use a phone, sat nav, tablet, or any device that can send or receive data, while driving or riding a motorcycle.’ I believe Go Pros have wifi, bluetooth and USB connections which means they can send or receive data. :)
