Several years back I was fishing early spring on the edge of a flat using a jerkbait, when I hooked into a monster peeling drag I thought I must have a state record small mouth. Not so. It was an 8 lb. Brown trout. Still an awesome fish 🎣

Damn! People are stealing everything! All over the country thieves are stealing catalytic converters. Just finished watching a video about an off-duty cop in Houston shot dead when he walked into three thieves in the midst of stealing his catalytic converter from his pickup truck. This country is going down hill fast while our politicians are busy ramping up wars against other countries across the world! Time for them to take care our people and not wasting money trying to bully other countries!

We have had bass pulling up on beds for few weeks now, at southern section of Clarks Hill Lake at least. Back of creeks have decent amount of fish in them.

Sorry bout the flight deal..... frustrating times for sure. Love jerkbaits in the spring. Still one of my all time favs is a Rapala HJ-12 4 3/4" husky jerk, TN shad. Ya, ya, ya I know we're in a era of "Who makes a better jerkbait". HJ 12 still catches them. Thanks for the vid.

🤔Man that would suck- cold water still? We're in the mid to upper sixties I think- just guessing based on the air temps and time of year. Prime time- this is the time of year where if you have to cancel a trip for some reason- it really stings. I was all set to go yesterday but my mom got sick- turned out to be just an overnight virus or something we think, but I didn't know that yesterday- I was scared to leave her alone. She's in her seventies and has health issues- and I'm her care taker. Then I woke up to thunderstorms today- bad ones, all day. I think we're in for more tomorrow. It's tough to get on the water this time of year but when you do- man it's awesome. On the last trip I caught 27- four of which were really nice ones- just short of five pounds. The rest were in the 1-3-pound range- great day on the water. After June days like this are exceedingly rare down here.

I'm getting so freakin antsy. I'm in Maine and we still have 2-3weeks till ice out at the soonest. It happens so late our smallies are usually immediately prespawn by the time it's gone so there really isn't any lag in the bite. If ice is gone they are munching hard also the smelt run it here before full ice out so that gets them pre fired up too I think.

I absolutely despise our modern airline system. It is one of the most crooked, incompetent systems in existence. I drive everywhere now, don't care how long it takes. A day or two of driving is worth it to have the control and the lack of stress compared to what comes with booking a flight. We still have ice here in Shawano, but open water is getting closer. Was wondering if you've seen the Salmo Floating Bass Bug. I picked up a couple the other day because they were on sale...unusual looking lure, reminded me of something from Japan.

I can no longer pass my flight physical to do it myself, but refuse to fly commercial. Since 9/11 the airlines treat you like crap! I can understand why you don't want to drive, look into charter planes. A twin engine prop or a small jet might cost alittle more, but it's a more pleasant flight. I would possibly add a hair jig and blade baits. Wish you luck!!!!!
