I GOT SCAMMED BY 2 MAKEUP ARTISTS

On today's episode of going to the WORST REVIEWED MAKEUP ARTIST, I was scammed by 2 makeup artists.
The price list board listing was £20 for makeup, yet the makeup artists said the prices have gone up to £35 !!! If this was genuine they really need to change their price list becuase trading standards would not be too happy LOL
Let me know if you think it was a scam or she was genuinely telling the truth?

You should do one where you ask them to be softer. To give you a clean sponge/ blender. Ask for clean brushes and see how far it goes. It's a new concept.

I understand prices change especially currently but they still had the sign up and there was no “from” for make up, a £15 increase is shocking. They should’ve honoured the £20 since it was still on show.

Sorry, dirty brushes/sponges?! That’s all I needed to see and hear. Also, I skeeve anyone touching my face period cannot imagine them rubbing dirty or used makeup on me. Either use tools or products New or disinfected not your hands. This just raised my ick vibes off the charts. I do have one question, do they use disposable eye brushes thin brush to apply liner and eyes shadow or disposable lip brush for your mouth? Also, are the product’s new and yours to keep once you’ve used them? Thank you for the video.

​@@Blondie147 i dont know about african ..but speaking for salons based in India - beauty salons run under experienced and qualified people have no loud noise (songs are pkayed but at an appropriate volume) and as of kids messing around... I've never encountered such an experience yet !

Many of these MUAs are from India or thereabout and they enjoy listening to their own traditional music. Here in London you hear that kind of music in so many different shops. I don't mean to be offensive, but I can't stand it 😅. The melody and those high pitch voices 😵‍💫🤯. Of course it has cultural relevance to them and, therefore, fair enough. But let's just say I don't find it relaxing!

I think during eyeshadow the song they were playing was the Indian version of GunsnRoses November rain. Guitar riff, orchestra end totally sounded like it. I have no idea what the song was saying but that foundation brush was triggering. 🤢 Ya. .that's all I have to add

Not bad. She went too hard with the metallic eyeshadow and brought it too high in the corner. I love that lipstick though. Nice color and finish. It would've been cuter with real simple shadow, a good winged liner and that lipstick.

Besides them who may be thinking that you are rich, I think you also encourage overcharging (especially in places like this) when saying you love it, it's really lovely etc. So depending on how much you are ''liking it'' they add more money thinking that they are super experts or something since you are sooooo happy with the results 😅😅

It is illegal to charge a higher charge than advertised, it is false advertising and you can go to trading standards especially when the charge is clearly marked on the board. I did not like this make up look, sorry 😢

It's not scamming if they've told you their actual current prices before starting the makeup process, especially if you agree to get the makeup done after they've informed you. It'd be scamming if they said nothing or a lower price and then proceed to charge you more when you're finished. They should however change the sign a.s.a.p. Also, they might think you're more well off than others because you have dyed hair and lingering traces of lip filler. Those are expensive procedures. Of course this doesn't mean they're excused from overcharging you, but it does answer your question as to why this might be happening to you. Looking at you from an outsider's perspective, you look kinda bougie girl 🤣

You have a fair point, but regardless, the shop advertises £20 and she was charged more. So her point is that she was charged more than the advertisement, not that rates have increased. If this was the case then the shop should have updated the sign outside, but either way she paid more than expected
