Funny that the seller says "no returns accepted!" although it is a "FBA" product. Amazon will definitely accept a return for this, and if the seller marked the ASIN as "non-returnable" then you'd still get a refund by Amazon if you said "it's not what I expected". That's part of what a FBA-seller has to agree to. EDIT: Should add, if the seller also sells the product via a Marketplace-listing (sold and shipped by the seller with the frankly unspeakable name) then a potential buyer would have a much harder way to fight this purchase. Though, most customer-service agents will still file a buyers protection claim for such things and it might go through. But yeah, at least Jay bought via FBA.

@Billy White Jr. That message is normal when a customer gives negative feedback and mentions that something was wrong with shipping or returns. In that case, Amazon strikes through the feedback (making it not affect the seller's score) as shipping and returns are handled by Amazon in case of FBA.

Amazon products sold in the Marketplace, also known as Fulfilled by Merchant, must still adhere to all Amazon return policies, no exceptions. There is no product in the electronics category that can be excluded from the Amazon return policy. Returns on ALL objects are allowed within 30 days. I showed this video to a guy I know in Amazon's customer service and he recommended sending it back. He pointed out that despite the bullet point that says they don't allow for returns, a bit below the "Add to cart" and "Buy now" buttons there is a line that says "Return policy: Eligible for return, refund, or replacement." The fact that it was missing that screw, he'd arrange a return due to it missing parts. Other reasons for a return could be defects or damage. Likely you could return it for any reason you want, though there may be a return shipping cost deducted based on the reason for the return. The best part is that if it gets returned and refunded, the seller doesn't get paid for the sale.

well, if you get the right guy amazon work fast with audit and closing shops. I managed to have a shop close for "suspicious of fraud". Basically I was buying an xmas present for my brother (an epson xp2100) that was underprice. Like it was 70€ instead of 90, but since the xp2200 was behind the corner I said "well, they are cleaning the surplus". Make the payment and in like less than a minute I got 3 email from amazon: the second one was "we got your money, but the product was out of order by the time you clicked "buy". you'll get your money back in 7 days". There were 10 printers ready to go. the first one was about "we tried to get yor money but there wasnt enough on your card. No charge was applied on your card": I did just recharge 80€ just to be sure the third one was from the vendor that said "there was a problem with your order cal me at this number". It was an american phone number, land line. I'm italian. contacted the vendor with amazon self help. sended him screenshots of the payments, of the mails, ecc. He erased the chat history in ten minutes flat. called an operator on amazon with their chat. He recovered the erased chat and screenshot. he did see that a lo tof people got the same problem. He did speed up the refund (three days), put an audit call on the shop and suspended ASAP the shop on "suspicious of multiple frauds". Basically this f**ker had a bot clean the disponibility queque each time someone tried to buy something (so your transaction was canceled), then send a fake amazon message that there wasnt money from another account with a name in ascii characters that resembled the word amazon (so you tough it was your fault) and a message in his shop name to contact him and sell you his things without amazon as intermediary. And of course without warranties nor certain that you WOULD get the things, the cheapest, non trackable, non inusred shipping, etc etc. I dont think he'll ever manage to open another shop in amazon from all the blacklists he will have got on his name XD

For the record, I'm building gaming rigs since '92 and I never once bought a part from Amazon...in my case Newegg helped me build my business so I'll stick with them... so why buy computer parts from Amazon..??.. @@gabeghiby6935 I bought most of my parts from Amazon in 2020 when I built mine. Honestly every time I do I think about how Bezos is getting my money but in reality I have learned to ignore it. I drink coke, eat at McDonalds and use amazon, if I started thinking about if everything I am doing is lining billionaire's pockets I would go crazy and frankly I am too insignificant to pretend like I will make a difference anyway. I am personally in the UK so I wouldn't use Newegg but we do have other places. I am just used to Amazon plus I have prime (which to me is actually quite good as I use it often to watch prime shows/movies). But didn't Newegg have some controversy recently? Specifically with returns? Which honestly is another reason I like Amazon as their returns policy is seemingly really great from my perspective. Not saying all others are bad but can you blame me with sticking to what works? I have a low threshold for stress. Building my first build PC was extremely stressful, even though every where I looked they said it was easier than it looked. It took me a long long time to get the confidence to finally buy and build. Amazon is just an extra thing I don't need to worry about.

@@gabeghiby6935 I'm an old guy, and I have also been building PCs since the early 90s. Remember Cyrix CPUs? As for the political angle you make reference to: I am all too aware of Amazon's woke cancer and leftist politics. No one is more against that garbage than I am. I buy from Amazon because their market presence is too strong to ignore when I actually have to live within my budget. And as much as I hate to say anything positive about Amazon, I find pricing on all types of products (including tech) is very competitive and their product return policies are generally consumer friendly. As for Newegg (and their predecessors): I also shop and buy from Newegg---including $1000 on this current build. I imagine every tech shopper does business with Newegg? But as GN recently highlighted, their business practices are far from angelic. Very far. I like the fact some consumers refuse to buy from Amazon, and will fight to defend their right to make that free-market decision. My own free-market purchasing decisions are no less important.

There are laws though. They can't outright lie or at least they need to be careful with that as they could get charged with false advertisement. So companies use vague wording and have use big print on some parts and small print on others to try to mislead consumers without outright lying. The most important thing to keep in mind is that companies are organizations created to make money. So if you are buying a product of theirs you are giving them more money than they used to give you what you purchased. So if you get something that's worth more than what you paid for then you need to assume they screwed over many times that number of customers by giving them less than what they paid for to make profit.

From around 3-4 years now... It's amazing how much weird generic Chinese stuff is getting there and being promoted or magically showing thousands of positive reviews, when the products are clearly bad... One thing i just can't stand and understand is when the vendors chnage the publication entirely and they are selling something totally unrelated to what's being discussed in the reviews... Last week i was looking for a headlamp and found one that seemed ok... The reviews were about some shoes

Yep, bought a Car radio with Android Auto/Apple Play for like $110 off amazon which had really good reviews, when I got the radio it was nothing like the reviews, it was junk and falling apart, so I wrote a bad review. Within 24 hours the seller contacted me offering me a full refund, in exchange for me changing my review to 5 stars for them (Explains why the radio had great reviews). I told them to stuff it, and kept my bad review, so tired of paid reviews on amazon.

WHAT I HATE about Amazonb is the fact that a TON OF PRODUCTS send a card with the item you buy stating "HEY, IF YOU GIVE US 5 STARS WE WILL SEND YOU A SECOND ONE/ACCESSORY/ETC ETC.....' So you have A TON on AMZON that are GARBAGE PRODUCTS that have hundreds or thousands of 5 STARS that should have 3 or below....In my mind it SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO DO SO. Amazon is aware of this but doesnt wanna put the effort in to enforce against this....All types do it but it is really bad with cheap chinease junk who do this.

This trick has been all over ebay for a while too. The specific example I know of are magic the gathering 'mystery boxes,' often with rare and expensive cards being marked as 'available' in the description, and some of those cards being marked as 'sent' to add an air of legitimacy to the idea that you might possibly get one of those super money cards. Of course the reality is, all the seller is sending out is a bunch of unsalable garbage, dressing it up by saying you might get something awesome even though you most definitely won't. Optionally, add in a little extra spice by sending curated product to a youtuber or someone else with an audience that does actually have something good in it to advertise your scam and grab the attention of even more potential suckers. In this case, replace MtG cards with graphics cards. Lure people in with the promise of maybe getting something awesome at a budget price, and send out nothing but... well, what you got. Low-end cards from 10 or more years ago.

Isn't that just the entire TCG business model lol. It's actually worse because the "rare" card is not really any more costly to produce or has any value beyond the artificial value created by the people who made it, by only making a smaller number of said cards. Of course, they probably don't straight up lie about what you might get in a pack or whatever cards are sold in now.

Amazon 3rd party seller rules require the seller to ship exactly what is in the title of the item. If they don't, you can return it for the reason: received wrong item or item not as described. Amazon will require the seller to pay for the return shipping. Amazon sets return policy, not the seller.

Here's the very sad part about Amazon, I've been a Prime member for over (25) years. Though I have never really lost any money on Amazon (scammed), they have a ton of 3rd party sellers using their site as a store front, and some of these 3rd party companies have very unsavory business practices. No matter how much trouble you had with an order, Amazon will simply NOT do anything to crack down on them, or ban them from doing business via Amazon. I suspect nothing changes for (2) reasons, (1) no matter who you speak to at amazon, you word is never going to make it to corporate, the real people in charge that make changes. (2) It's pure greed, Amazon is not going to bite the hand that feeds them. Unless I really know the 3rd party company, the only way I make purchases on Amazon is if...the product is listed as fulfilled and shipped by Amazon.

Hopefully, they don't allow this, but considering it comes from the company that was allowing authors to be ripped off by people, I have my doubts. I don't know if it's changed or not, but at one time they were allowing customers to buy ebooks and then allowing returns if it was within 7 days. The problem with this was that people were returning the ebook after reading the entire book. When a Kindle book is returned, the publisher loses their cut of the sale, and in turn, the author doesn't get royalties for that copy.

My mother bought my wife and I gift cards direct from Amazon. One was matte, one was shiny. The shiny one, according to amazon they had "no record of the number and it must have been a printing error" and offered to issue a refund. I told them no, it is clearly counterfeit, someone is swapping them either at the warehouse or elsewhere. Is this not a concern? "No, it's just a printing error. We'll issue you a refund." Guy absolutely would not acknowledge that it was counterfeit. I deliberately asked a few questions to get him to say the word and he did everything possible to avoid doing so. Must be policy. Can't have a counterfeit problem if you don't acknowledge the word, right? That's some big brain thinking there. Long story short, I doubt they do anything in this case. Even if it's against policy.
