I LOVE THISSS and I totally agree with you. I’m not vegan but do not like the idea of purchasing non cage free eggs, etc. I’d love to have chicks!!

Another thing you could use for the eggshells is if you crush them up and preheat the oven to 375 and cook them for 15 minutes or until brown you could feed them back to your chickens! The reason you need to crush them up than cook them is so they don’t get the idea that it is okay to eat their eggs. If you cook then the chickens will not think that it is their eggshells. Also don’t give your chicks calcium once they are young because that could hurt your chicks! It will save you money so you don’t have to buy calcium supplements for your chickens. Your chickens need calcium to lay eggs or else your eggs will be soft and not hard.
