In any case it takes more effort to trash than it takes to ignore that trash talking yet it makes it entertaining for observers to listen to it. @michaelc3977
@michaelc3977 3 ай бұрын
@@sk-sm9sh Nonsense. Spouting verbal diarrhea takes no effort, as you just demonstrated. Chess is a respectful game. Sport of Kings. It's not like poker, where people need to wear headphones to block out the trashtalk of poorly engraced players. People rightly look down on those who use trash talk because it demonstrates the players lack of respect and inability to win the game without degrading themselves. You seem childish, so perhaps it would help if you think of it this way: it would be very off-putting if your poorly socialised opponent sat breaking wind throughout the game. While doing so wouldn't be outside of the rules of chess, it would be considered disrespectful and would lead to people choosing not to play you again in the future. It's a simple question of manners, and winning through your ability on the board. Try to understand.

@@michaelc3977 this whole idea of "respectful chess" where it's silent and nothing happens is like the most boring thing ever - and I'm not a chess noob in my youth I played professional tournaments and held 2100+ rating. Trashtalking makes things more fun and thus that's the reason why street chess is the best kind of chess as opposed to official tournaments. And trashtalking does take effort as it consumes the brain too. I challenge you to try trashtalking and playing decent game at same time if you think it's a no effort thing.

I don't blame the kid, he's 11, but his parents? All those adults overinflating his ego? They ought to be ashamed of themselves imo. One of them ought to have said at some point 'hey, okay now, simmer down a little with the insults,' but no. What's really going on here is that a bunch of adults that should be properly mentoring that kid are instead exploiting his obvious personality problem by not helping him overcome it but by encouraging it for their own amusement (at the kid's ultimate expense). The kid is verly likely autistic to some degree. You can see that he has an extremely high IQ and can string together abstract thoughts and really brilliant observations lightning fast. He needs to be helped to manage that not used as some circus clown. Anna remains poised and collected even though she is rattled. She can do that because she was raised by highly accomplished parents that are also extremely humble and respectful people. She grew up in that environment and that's who she is despite outside static.

Someone needs to teach that kid some respect and humility. It is no wonder he behaves like that when adults around him laugh and approve his bad behavior. If he talks like that and practically bullies an adult how is he treating his schoolmates? You might see a good chess player all I see is a spoiled little brat. Edit: After writing this comment I watched another video of Anna where she loses to another 10 year old called Yusuf. Yusuf was such a polite and kind kid so gracious in handling the game and his win. Faith in humanity restored.
