Last summer, I came back to my hometown after a study year abroad. I decided to organize a day out to a huge water park just outside town, with my 4 best friends. We wanted to do a special sort of reunion, something more interesting than just getting drunk in the city, for example. I had also heard that the park had almost doubled in size since I’d last visited it, and I was curious about all its new features. As it turns out, my experience there was so traumatic, I never stepped into another water park again.
We wanted to meet in the early morning, as the summer sun can be really tough after midday. But one of my friends, Addie, was supposed to pick us up with her SUV, and she called me at 10 AM to tell me she’d just woken up. I said fine: we were going to be three hours later than intended, but there wasn’t anything any of us could do. Addie was the only one with a car big enough for the five of us plus all our accessories.
By the time we got to the water park, it was loaded. Hundreds of teens were screaming and splashing each other, and the sun was burning our faces. So we decided we’d get a drink and wait for the sun to go down a little bit before we got on the water slides. We went to the bar, got some colorful and accessorized drinks, and sat on lounge chairs under their umbrellas. The park was really busy, so we couldn’t find five lounge chairs next to each other. I sat next to Gerard, my oldest friend, and the other three went to find chairs elsewhere.
Gerard and I chatted for a bit, then I closed my eyes for a minute and enjoyed the music and the people laughing in the background. When I opened my eyes, I turned towards Gerard to ask him something, but he wasn’t there. How long was I there with my eyes closed? I got up and started looking for him: he wasn’t on any of the lounge chairs, and he wasn’t at the bar, either. After all, we had all just gotten a drink minutes before. So they decided to hide and wait till the park closed and try finding their friend all by themselves in the dark with no maintenance gear or employee instead of telling a staff that they can't find there friend and think she got stuck during a slide. LMAO well thought ladies.

Who tf decides to wait around and hide at a waterpark to "look for their friend" especially if you guys all went on one last ride before leaving and u know shes prob on that ride. Like come on, a friend would have gotten staff or security or called police, not go hide and wait for a park to close and then start looking around for you. Thats the biggest bs story i ever heard. Either that, or her friends are idiots. But i dont buy this story one bit.

This Story reminds me of my school tour to a water park🥲I was actually really scared of the big slides and also the pool was kind of deep and also from kids to adults everyone was so mixed up that it was really crowded so I didn't want to get on them instead I was in the pool with 2 of my frnds my other frnds was really excited they all went to the big slides and enjoyed it so they started calling us but I didn't go but inside I wanted to try at least one of them because my frnds and classmates all looked really thrilled so after sometime of trying to make me come I finally agreed and me and my frnds went to the slides and they told me to not be scared and within the count of three we all went sliding down everything was ok until I reached the bottom it was so fast I couldn't focus because when I reached the pool I accidentally tried to breath in the water and I swallowed a lot of water I was actually stuck in their and I couldn't even get up or swim I was practically drowning and I was like omg am gonna die I was actually trying to cry and I was so dramatic like tell my parents and siblings that I loved them and all then I don't how many seconds passed by I was only half conscious for me it felt like days but suddenly my classmate pulled me from the water I was so relieved and I was trying to catch my breath and she patted on my back and suddenly I saw all my frnds running towards me they were all scared they were looking for me in the water and they couldn't find me and one of my frnd also drowned but my other frnd pulled her up so they couldn't find me and they were so happy when they found me and after choking out all the water I started crying and they told me to rest and they were going to tell the teacher but I said no because I was scared that I will grow a huge attention and I don't want that so I said I was ok and told them to go enjoy without me but they were not going so after a rest I said I was ok and we all went to the pool again and my frnds went to the slides again but I still stayed at the wave pool and also the next year we went to another water park and when I see the slides now I get chills so I haven't gone to the slides ever again it happened 4 years ago and I told my family about this experience only now. The tchrs and half the class still doesn't know anything about that day.

Story is totally fake. She contradicts herself by saying the friends were using their phones as a flashlight then 2min later says both of them “lost their phones while looking for her”. 🤦‍♀️You either have your phone or you don’t, there’s no exaggerating or ‘mistakening’ that lol. Also, why would they wait till closing then sneak back in to look for their friend instead of telling a staff member or calling authorities? And it’s not very believable that someone would lose their phone searching for someone in the dark (as u would need the flashlight to see) and would cling onto it so u can keep trying to call them or wait for them to call you. In addition to all these inconsistencies and contradictions, it would not take 7-8 hours to find someone when u know what ride they were on last. Even if it did, they would’ve called authorities wayyy before that. No one would spend the entire night searching like that. Ugghh I hate it when ppl make up stories that are so obviously fake lol

Story is 100% fake. She contradicts herself by saying “they found her by using their phones flashlights” then says they “lost their phones whilst looking for her”, then 5 seconds later they magically called 911 from this so called ‘missing phone’ after finding her😂🤦‍♀️ Also, the staff always checks to make sure no one is in the park before closing so they would’ve saw them and asked them to leave. And she doesn’t even explain how they were there after closing- did they leave and break back in, or did they hide in the bushes and wait for the staff to leave? Regardless, either of those choices makes zero sense. How did no one notice these contradictions and inconsistencies? 🤷‍♀️ lol

Also have a very bad memory at a water park I was 6 years old I was really good at swimming I was trained in deepwater so which I can also swim very good for 6-year-old we were on vacation with my family my sister and brother invited me to the water I was ok with going in the water then I felt that something grabbing me from underneath it was someone drowning as I thought it was a 3 year old little girl I tried saving her but her weight was so heavy for me to carrier my dad saved us I was so traumatised but I never wanted to go to water Park but if I wanted to go to a water park I will definitely just sit and sunbathe now I am 14 so this accident happened years ago😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

The time I went on a water-slide, I went on the highest one, and none security guard was there! and the non-scariest ride has a guard, and when I rided the highest one I was scared, because it was really dark! and then I choked on water, than suddenly the water stopped working..after that I started screaming for help, and a guard heard me, than they helped me out and I never wanted to ride a scary ride again!
