I GOT THE MONEY SHOT at the expense of my drone | Bali Cinematic FPV

Nusa penida is home to the most epic scenes I have ever captured however once again we end in tragedy haha
only had this drone for 2 months which is pretty sad but I guess it was worth it for the epic shots I captured!

Next time don't power it up again... Take the whole drone apart, air unit everything, remove heat sinks, every little cover and wire. Rinse with distilled water, then spray with isopropyl alcohol to speed up evaporation, use a fan if you have one. Then toss the parts into a bag of rice for 2-3 days. Put it all back together again, and see if you can get it running with a smoke stopper and a 3 cell battery. I have had 3 water crashes, two of which I have recovered the drone, and both I have been able to save and get flying again. Small steps during reassembly, test parts independently of each other if you have the gear.

@@andyescapes Yes one of mine was salt water. First water crash I did not have any isopropyl, and got corrosion on a lot of the solder very quickly from just a few hours exposure. So I created a rescue kit now, alcohol and zip lock bags, paper towels, small bottle of water. Make sure you disarm as soon as possible. Strip down the entire qwad as fast as possible, and toss it all (not the battery) into the ziplock with distilled water, rinse it all around for 1-2 minutes. Pour out as much water as possible. Add alcohol so it soaks in just like the water, get everything covered as much as possible for 20-30 seconds, get it out and put it on some paper towels, fan dry if possible to accelerate drying. If you plan on flying over water a lot, make sure you apply conformal coating to your electronics, you can also use liquid electrical tape to keep liquids out of connectors and such. Its worth the time. I live inner city, and the easiest location I can fly in is over a brackish salt water. Also you may lose one part, but you will halve 90% of a functioning drone, that can be used as replacement parts if you cant fully save it.

Super ballsy! Thanks for including the crashes, makes me feel human. The lil Beach is Crystal Beach, man, that's my favourite spot in Bali, you probably know but if you crash in water, dunk it all the way in and disconnect the battery under water, that way no components overheat

The colors of your Sony A7IV and drone look amazing! are you shooting on SLOG-3? What's your exposure comp? I try to Keep it between 1.7 to 2.0 stops over, but the footage looked meh. Any tips?

Love your channel watch quite a alot. Im also a growing fpv pilot, but I really disagree with your methods. I know people will still do it and if not you somebody else, but this close flying to people in a crowded location, when you are still on your learning journey is exactly why I see more and more regulations coming down on the community. And this is definitely not a hate comment, but rather feedback, that if you are documenting everything and forming the community with your content you should be agitating us all to practice safe and positive actions, and not just going for the "Money shots". Maybe I am too dramatic maybe I am not, but certain actions from certain people will lead to certain actions from other people being brought down on our community for which we will all suffer. Please look at the big picture, please practice safe droning and if not at least have a BIG reason for it. Money shot amazing, but sadly I am not 100% cheering on that. Hope you get me in a good way and dont think that this is a hate comment. Lets all look into the future of not only our egos, but everyone who want to experience free and fun world of droning and not be put into boxed "safe places" where we should fly. All huge comment in one sentence: Good job, would like more responsibility and education towards the community on friendly droning practices for the sake of everyone. + thanks for good inspiration from your videos. :) Aaaaand rest in peace little drone :)
