I feel like something like this can only happen with 2 really good crews and it becomes a stalemate. I think both had their masts down and both had too much water so do repairs, so the only defense for being bucketed is to bucket back to stop them from continuing to bucket.

@@thomasdelange7919 I know a lot of the basics. I never learnt how to double-gun though never got comfortable with it! Ontop of that I never think to use blunderbombs or any of that util, yet I somehow managed to hit 100 athena allegiance in under 30 hours give or take with my new mate whos far below average. I think it will surprise people too, that I am probably mediocre compared to a lot of people on cannons. I basically perma-board. I don't think I have done a single hg battle not on a sloop either. I guess I got lucky with a lot of the people we fought which boosted our winrate and streak quite significantly every time we did hg.

Not sure if they increase rep gains for 1-100 but the emissary flags staying with you when you dive so you can go on streaks and still have flags to sell in itself is pretty big too

Getting beat at half mast was my biggest flaw to untrain myself from since beta. I thought having a faster turn was better for the longest time, boy was I wrong. Once I started full speed turning on ‘‘em and only dropping speed when they’re anchored or masted. I’m actually decent at the game now, it’s nice to see that play out on a video, that first volley is so important.

@@elsykumquat9192 put the left side of their boat toward their opponent, left side takes 1 less hole than the right side, its also harder to hit people who are bucketing if you're shooting at the left side, it also put their cannons looking at the enemies right side.

I have been grinding Athena and just go to level 34 after the hardest freaking battle of my life.(also got Athena 20) I spawned and as I was coming up, I got a notification I was entering a ghost fleet. As I surface, a ghost ship is right in front of me and I almost go through it. I start of the battle with some holes and almost sail out because of the damage. I almost sunk about 5 times but managed to come out on top with some help from the fleet one balling my opponent right when he came back from the ferry. Anyway, I may be only 1/3 of the way there, but this video shows me I will be able to do this

Last time I played PVP I got 3 Hacking Crews in a row while queueing only 10 times... They teleported around their ship, held us hostage on our burning ship by one-click emptying out ship, had god mode enabled (2 full blunder shots from a teammate and me didn't kill and we both hit at least 8 pallets each)... It was because of how fast the enemy sloop was turning. Since we rotated we could get more shots off all around the boat instead of the same spot.

After arena went away, I stopped doing pure pvp. I'd still run reaper and takes fights, just wouldn't go out of my way for them all the time. Let me tell ya, I got humbled when I tried to solo hourglass. I won the first one (barely, I really struggled to capitalize on my one balls and mast knocks) and the second guy destroyed me. He full masted me, I managed to repair and reset the fight, but in the end, his aim was better than mine. Definitely have some work to do.
