Panga I found a way to skip jumping under mario's pants with the P-switch strat, you first press the P-switch, then using the coins that turned into blocks, you jump on the 35. After that, you go on mario's hat, and you drop down to the fire flower art to get the star. I don't know if this is slower, but try it out if you want.

I don't play SMM2 I just enjoy watching all of you guys play, However in my younger years I have played my fair share of SMB, And if I was Nintendo making a ninji run to mark the 35th anniversary, I would incorporate the things that made SMB speed runs great, I would suspect there is a Warp in that level somewhere, Probably by heading up as fast as you can, there will surely be a vine or blocks that bring you up there so you can run the level from the top,

Nintendo should add the other styles (Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy 1&2) as paid DLC to Super Mario Maker 2 and bring back the Mystery Mushroom costumes. Lastly, they should create an entire Super Mario 35th Anniversary Ninji Speedrun World in Super Mario Maker 2 featuring 35 to 40 levels created in all styles, including the aforementioned ones that should be added as paid DLC.
