Clearly we can spot one of the values of m to be 2, and taking m-2 as the factor of equation we will divide to get the quadratic equation and then we will solve to get other two factors . Either they will be resl or imaginary
@Segalmed16 сағат бұрын
I went the same way and got 2, -1+2i and -1-2i.
@marcelonascimento786518 сағат бұрын
That's easy. However you Mr., don't define what kind of number is "m,".
@marcelonascimento786518 сағат бұрын
Solve for m is completely unacceptable. You must say if "m" is natural, racional e etc.

3:55 why is (m - 2) still shown on the left side of the equation? Wasn't that supposed to have been factored out?
I agree that he skipped the explanation of factoring. He repeats some things 20 times and then leaps over some of the basics... could be better.

Amazing question ! Bring us more of these please !

I didn't even try solving it properly. I just guessed 2

m(m²+1)=10 2×5=10 m²+1=5 m²=4 m=2

If m²=4, why not m=-2 ?
@AbbasGuclu-jn3po8 сағат бұрын
@@carlosm.labanca2285 then -2×(4+1)=-10 but answer is 10

Bruh this is just grade 9 and 10 maths at most. How can this be college level? Just use factor theorem and quadratic formula. That's it.
@Segalmed15 сағат бұрын
complex numbers are not part of the regular math fare at that grade everywhere. The first (real) solution should be obvious though.

@Segalmed bruh I'm in grade 9 duh

@4067love Iirc I had complex numbers in grade 11 or 12 (Germany).

@Segalmed yeah in India too cbse it's in 11th but root -1 we know what is.

The answer is 2 bc I just used trial and error 😂
@Penndennis12 сағат бұрын
'Trial and error' is valid method of solution! Might take a while to get the complex ones though!

Looks like a high school problem..? I've literally solved those in 11th grade. Don't quite get why does everyone is so flabbergasted about this P.s. does math education really suck that much in the US?
