Thing is... Green Day have always done this. Saw them at small venue in Wolverhampton in 1994 and did exactly the same (except smaller venue and a tenth of the crowd.. haha)... Didn't give the kid a guitar though but he did run from the drum kit and stage dived back into crowd... One of my favourite gigs!

I got to play drums with them in 2002 on the Pop Disaster tour and it was pretty amazing. Billie Joe made me crowd surf to the stage, my legs went numb when I got to the stage but once I sat down and played the beat Tre told me to keep I started having fun with it. Got to keep the drum sticks, not a guitar but oh well lol. Oh and Tre started pouring beer in my mouth while I was playing, I threw my head back and he poured it from like a foot above my face lol. Awesome that they still do this for fans, it really is one of the coolest things a band this huge could do at a show!

Every once in a while, I'll play this and other videos that were put up with the band inviting audience members on stage to come and play with them. It's an awesome experience that makes me wish I could have been there. It really shows how much they love their fans. That was such an awesome thing for Billie Jo to gift his guitar to you, Madde.
