the 2025 S1000RR M package is much better looking IMHO 😊

Here is what I know... the new wings on the 2025 (in my opinion) look better and are made of carbon.. the good news is they are a direct screw onto my 2024 to replace the coffee cup shelf wings..... the rest of the 25 fairings being plastic - yuk.. but understandable - its just the homologation model the race teams put carbon fairings on with headlight stickers.. so I am also glad I have a 24 with full carbon and look forward to swapping out the wings.. lol

That will be interesting to see! I hadn’t seen if they will fit or not, the head shape of the new bike is a bit different on the new M but the side fairings looked the same besides the material difference. The only issue I could see will be the finish on them won’t be anywhere close to the rest of the 24 bike. That matte BMW carbon looks very different from the gloss. Maybe ilmberger will come out with that wing done in gloss!

"Most of the people" doesn't matter with the M. You forget that the M1000RR is the homologation bike. They need to make it the best package possible for WSBK racing. The S1000 would get raped racing in WSBK. Most V4R I see aren't tracked either....most F8 Ferraris aren't tracked, nobody buys a Rolex to go diving, or travels w LV luggage. The use case is irrelevant. If BMW made only S1000s people would say it doesn't compete w the R1M, V4R or Fireblade SP. The M is the most, just like the M cars. You don't want it, cool, get a scooter.

While it’s the homologation bike it’s simply the production bike that they take into WSBK and then rip everything out and replace it with hundreds of thousands in parts. If what you’re saying was the case why do they not come with Ohlins suspension etc while the factory race bike has it? Same for cruise control/heated grips and all that. I doubt the race bike has those. The wing is another example. One of the reps told me it was a design choice more than a performance choice. They wanted the bike to be unique. I think there’s definitely a balance that can be found with how the production bike is set up for people that buy it. The 2024 is a good example. It’s much more well suited for the street compared to the V4R and that’s just from some of the choices BMW made to include in the production bike that Ducati didn’t but could have.

Brother I hate my M seat for long riding on my 24’ S1K what seat do you have ?!

I had an upholstery shop cut into the factory foam of the M seat and replace with memory foam. Much better. Then recovered with a Luimoto cover

Bro im so like you... like to have nice things but don't care for attention lol people hated on me about owning the bike. Thought I was just trying to flex the bike etc... I have a 2013 S1000rr with 49kmiles on it. Still riding it don't ever plan on selling it cause I enjoy riding. I didn't see the reason to get the k67 s1000rr since I wasn't sold on the design.. but when they dropped the 2023M 1000rr... I was like... I won't one.

I can say that agree with just about everything you said... the new S1000rr is a yes and New M is a no...I am curious if the new wing will fit on the 2023-2024. If you ever come out to Arkansas I'll show you some curves.

@@jtab5392 It will not. The mounting points are different. Bummer.

Man I’ve been seriously thinking about heading east into the Ozarks at some point next year. I’ll definitely let you know if I do!

The previous M1KRR, to me, looks like peak German engineering mixed with a little Italian flair and definitely Italian excess, with all that carbon. The new M1KRR might be the peak track weapon, but it looks like someone who maxed out a character on an RPG with all the best gear, but was forced to mix and match a bunch of different styles, which makes it look cheap and thrown together. Although it may actually be the superior machine, it looks a mess.

Spot on man. The RPG reference made me laugh, I can visualize that way too easily😂

I prefer the more angular 2025 S1000RR to the softer look of the M. I think the winglets are becoming a bit comical now. I thought about adding some Puig winglets to my GSXR750 and luckily the thought only lasted a day and faded away :)
@DongYonder2 күн бұрын
I’d leave the winglets off too! Don’t get me wrong I’m in the camp that I think most of them look cool and are functional to a point but just about every sport bike has them now. Hard to beat the streamlined look of a clean bike without them
