Lee Ermey mentioned that the "magots" wouldn't be fingerbanging Old Mary Jane Rottencroch, lol. However, in Ole Dave's case, we need to substitute a semi for the M14, lol.

Dave, a little tip for you...when you are asked to slide the trailer tandems to the rear, leave them where they are, get your trailer in the slot, do not back all the way to the back, get out , pull the tandem release, pull your tractor forward, set your tandems, close or open the doors and back into the slot, lower the landing gear, unhook the tractor and airlines and pigtail, and pull the tractor out from under the trailer. The theory is that leaving the tandems forward shortens the turning distance. I am impressed with your driving so keep up the good work.

Lol pull ups took forever for me to understand as well. On that first run when your just little crooked in the hole natural instinct or trainer may have taught pull right, left and under. Don't do this. Keep nose to the left and simply pull forward. When you straighten out the trailer tire with the line swing hard right to get under it and it's a perfect straight back. So far loving your channel. No sugar coating it. Just real life every day trucking problems.

Regarding avoiding CFI trucks: I saw one on the highway a few weeks ago that had me concerned. The driver was weaving off the lane of travel repeatedly. And when I was able to safely pass him, he looked dead tired. I actually thought about calling the police on him, but he ended up exiting the highway where a truck stop was located after passing me a few miles down the road where I had slowed to the lowered speed limit.

hey Dave, new subscriber, ive been driving for 36 years, i really enjoy your videos, takes me back to when i first started, long before the CDL, all we needed was a chauffer license. im not one of these guys that is going to say look at this rookie, im one of those guys who is thinking that my wife and or child could be in the car beside him. i have commented on a couple of your past videos. i will give you constructive advice. you are doing a great job so far, no injuries to you or anyone else and no property damage, great job, keep up the good work... ive noticed the trailers you have been pulling have the manual pull handle for the trailer tandems,( they can be a bitch) check out the sta-rat, there are some utube videos on them, they are a little pricey but well worth the money. keep truckin brother...

Dave, that wooden tire thumper should serve you well, but I recommend that you keep it within easy reach when sitting in the driver seat. I keep mine below the left side of the seat. Makes it easy to get to it while seated and also standing by the opened driver side door.
