I Got Top 4 With JYN ERSO at a Store Showdown! Star Wars Unlimited Decklist and Tournament Report!

Jyn Erso has been one of the less popular leaders in constructed play for Star Wars Unlimited TCG! Having already won a Store Showdown with Sabine, I figured I already had the Mace Windu promos I wanted and could try something a little more unorthodox, so I sleeved up a Jyn Erso deck. My goal was to get top 8 for the event -- come see the build and how I did!

I also top 4'ed a showdown this weekend with Jyn Erso. I played Vigilance Jyn though. Jyn with a lightsaber is pretty nasty and so is Luke Skywalker, Jedi knight. She is a very under appreciated hero. Thanks for putting a spotlight on a under played hero. And great video as always.

I've also been trying vigilance Jyn, gave the starter deck a bit of an upgrade with Kanan, Chopper and an extra Chewie. I like yellow blue but had been finding Lukes shielding ability very slow, and weak against a few builds. She definitely has an impact on the deck. Not played with her in store yet but she really annoyed my husband 😂

I am really glad you used Jyn. Jyn is one of my favorite heroes in the Star Wars Universe (I love Rogue One), and am sad when I don't see her or Cassian. This video makes me want to play this deck more if you don't mind! Thank you for an awesome video

Keywords I think have good synergy with jyn and look forward to testing more is, overwhelm, grit and ambush after she deploys. Each of these reward attacking your opponents units which Jyn wants to do.

Similar to you, I attended a smaller event (17 players), but was also best of one. I made top 8 with a double cunning Jyn. They did 5 Swiss rounds and cut to a top 8 where I lost to an ECL Sabine I lost to in the Swiss rounds.

Vers nice build, what do you think about double cunning Jyn? With some discards and trickery, its very fun, but doesnt have healing against aggro, so its a bigger coin toss.

I really like having some of what Command provides for the deck, with ECL, Battlefield Marine, and most of my endgame! While the double Cunning cards are good I don't think I want to lose a bunch of my other options for them, though I could of course be wrong!

It's not the cheapest ever but it's not full of expensive Legendaries either, though the Falcon is a pretty popular card...

Could you please update decklist? You mention you made a mistake of not sideboardiong before that tourney, but in both video and swdb i am seeing the same setup. So what was your original idea and were you happy with it or with what we can see here? Also do you like that discarding 2 drop that much? Instead of maybe max yoularen or spark in main?

Auzituck Liberator Gunship, though I consider it a major downgrade from the Falcon it's not quite as bad a downgrade as it is in an aggro deck.

We had someone top 8 at one of our local Showdowns that had 32 players a few weeks ago. Just was not reported.

Strafing gunship is really strong as a drop 4 with Jyn, but it's slow

you should try if its fast enough against aggro, against control it's shit obviously cause one removal is dealing with it but against midrange it's very strong.

I was running green jyn with strafing gunship. Slap on the heavy blaster upgrade for it and boy it does work

What about Escord skiff, could be a good 4 drop. You use a lot of small green units

I was gonna suggest the Skif as well. Been running it in Luke Green with great success. Got unlucky at last weekend’s Store Showdown. Went 3-1 in Swiss, but they did topcut 4… and I was in 5th after Swiss. So, technically Top 8. Skif was a big surprise to my aggro opponents 😊 consistently activated by the MVP Alliance Dispatcher of course.

A cool build, I think she just does a lot of things slightly worse than other leaders and makes her weaker in constructed against finely tuned decks, but I think it's fun to try it out!

I don't think she's necessarily the best leader in the game or whatever but I think she has some cool strengths to her -- more than I expected when first making this!

My biggest gripe with Jyn is that her ability doesn't trigger by attacking passively like Bobba's does when you remove an enemy unit from play. New bobba doesn't have this issue either. This would allow Jyn to feel much better sending in ambush units before she flips. This means clearing the ground of echo base defenders while leaving a body that must be dealt with. womp

This seems like a slightly altered Han deck with Jyn as the leader 😂 I don’t hate it though

I definitely based it on some of the Han builds that I had seen earlier, though with some differences!
