You look great with locks my darling❤ just a reminder for the cooler seasons... Beware of velcro and zippers with your new hair😊. I found that synthetic dreads weren't as proned to catch onto something as wool and natural dreads. The advantage of wool is, they are lighter than synthetics and you can dye them with foodcolours. You rock!

I love your dreadlocks. I think they are bold and makes you look beautiful in them. I love the makeup you did. It suits you and makes you look so beautiful. I think the locks bring your full personality and potential forward and it will also make your Roho art channel soar. I did dreadlocks when I was a teenager. Not very long, but I did them. I had fun. I👏Love👏The👏Pink!👏Well, I love it all, but those pink accents - gorgeous. Just like you 💜 I do have to say your words really resonated with me today. Life is ..... a bit much right now for me. Today was one of those days where I felt like I wasn't living up to the expectations I put on myself, and feeling like I'm not enough. A pretty common problem lots of us have, especially as women - societal pressures, etc. However, you reminded me that it's important to be true; and to be true, I need to be ok with my failures as well as my successes. They all make up who I am as a human. And that human IS enough. And it doesn't really matter what other's opinions are of me, as long as I am ok with MY opinion of me. Well.....and my dog's opinion of me - because, let's be honest, animal opinions are the only ones that matter. Animals are WAY smarter.

Hi, Nikki! I miss your beauty videos! I love this video, and I love your hair! I'm white, and about 30 years ago when I used to go camping, hiking, and caving all the time, I wanted dreads or at least tiny braids all over my head. I thought that would make outdoor activities easier because my hair was SO frizzy, and with it contained I wouldn't have to worry about it. I never did it for whatever reason. For me I wanted them more for practicality's sake than anything else. Now I have short hair, and at a short length it doesn't get frizzy. I think if I got sick of my hair I'd be more likely to shave my head than to grow it out and then add dreads or tiny braids. 🙂I appreciate you stepping out and letting the real you show!! I feel like nowadays (I'm 57) I'll do whatever I want with my looks and not worry too much about what people think.

I love my Tribe Palette ❤. I hope you enjoy your beautiful locks. So pleasantly surprised that the fibers are natural. Often they are done with synthetic, braiding hair. My hair is long, nearly waist length and naturally curly. It's very warm and humid so I generally put my hair into a bun, securing it with pretty hair sticks/forks. Currently, studying some hair tutorials as my granddaughter wants princess hair, lol. Thanks for allowing us to understand your thought process. We live in a small, rural, community in the US. People are not progressive in their thoughts. Sadly, even hairstyles, have the potential to cause safety issues.

I started my dreads journey back in the late 80's, I was a squatter in London. To me they represented liberation from norms and the rejection of capitalism. I decorated my dreads by binding them with flame colored embroidery threads sewn in bells and charms. I decided to cut them out when I started going through the immigration process in the US, I had already had plenty of grief with customs and immigration, just flying in and Boston in the early 90's was pretty conservative. While I miss my dreads I don't know that I would want them/need them now. In recent years I have embraced my naturally curly hair, and given that it is greying that in and of itself is a big enough statement to make to the world when I walk out the door in the morning.

Your art is so beautiful. The hair looks great. You look beautiful. And I have been playing more with eyeshadow looks lately. I have six pallets and they work for me so I experiment with them to create looks that have been working for me. I also bought synthetic dreadlocks from Etsy in America. I’m excited to use them as a woodland nymph costume, but they are so pretty I’m looking forward to using them once my short bob grows out.

I understand it’s scary, it was scary for me too. Especially because I am on social media. But it is also very freeing and I feel they have always been there but then on the inside.. There are videos on KZbin on how to make your own locks and how to put them in yourself..They don’t have to be very expensive though. 🥰

100% yes, there's a big difference between blue and yellow greens. Even though I'm an olive skin tone, i lean towards blue greens way more yet yellow greens clash. So weird

@@NikkiRaven I am almost smack back in the middle because I can get away with nearly every colour, warms, and cool tones, I'm like the slightest amount more cool or blue because I'm noticing the yellow-green clash. I think the tones that have a risk of taking over are neons, but I love them, oh and hot cool tone pinks are clashy, dusty or purply pinks are amazing though.

They look super nice on you. I had synthetic dread extensions for a long time before I dreaded my own hair. Yes, they do stick to some fabrics. You will go through a phase where your scalp is gonna itch just cuz it's not used to being pulled so tight. The trick is to not use conditioner or else that's when they start slipping out. Also, I never felt the need to explain myself for having them until within the past few years. I had them for 10 years. No one ever gave a crap until within the past few years and honestly it's always white people bitching about it. None of my black friends cared at all. I can't speak for everyone, this is just my experience.

I have wanted wool dreadlocs my WHOLE life!!!! Growing up, I was fascinated and surrounded by black culture, especially taken with black hair. In the mid-late 90s when I was exposed to the industrial scene, I saw white girls with dreadlocs and was like "oooh, me too me too!!!!". But yeah, there was never anyone around who could do that in my hair texture. I have so many sets saved in my Etsy app. One day, I will find someone who can do them! Yours are so lovely!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 oooh also yes a video of re doing them yourself!!!!

@@NikkiRaven I just may have to watch some yt videos and give it a try. Did you use dual end or single end dreads? I feel like dual end would make the braiding process easier. Plus I only have half a head of hair, so it would make it have more volume.
