The worst eyebrow choice is SPERM AKA TADPOLE eyebrow shape!!! I wish you would address this and teach women haow to fill in a tadpole to make it less tad-polish. Thank you for all your beautiful videos, Marlena.

I over plucked in the 90s and early 2000s 🤦‍♀️ I think another mistake, especially for women who have cool or ashy tone hair, is using too warm of a shade of brown. I think they would look more natural with a taupe shade.

The thing is, razor thin brows were everything back in the 90s. Now, we think the thicker brows make us "look younger", but in the 90s, thicker brows made us "look older". It's just the trends. I plucked my brows to death in the 90s and into the 2000s, no regrets. I had great 90s brows 🤣 And mine actually grew back in. 🙌🏼

I continue to use two brow powder shades, and I fill in some of the bottom with elf's brow pencil. Lately, I use the NYX pen to add a few inner brow hairs on both sides, and it looks so much better. Thankfully, I've never had to pluck hairs other than a few random ones underneath my brows. Great tips, and tricks for all of us, missie! Love, and hugs, Marlena, Sherrey🩷

Over the years I learned to not over pluck and now just fill in what I need. I heard brows with high arch and dropping down on the ends makes our face drag down. I been keeping tail now too much down now. Im 55 and finally good on doing my brows. Its the hardest part.

I completely disagree about brow shape. Flattening out your arch doesn't just make YOUR eyes look heavy, it makes everyones eyes look heavy. My natural brow shape is awful, everyone should be going for more of an arch bc it just makes your face look better

I have a brow question: I had my eyebrows micro bladed however they ended up a bit too dark, for my taste. Can I use a bleach like you did on mine? I just want to soften them just a little bit. I have a naturally high arch and I embrace it. I’ve learned how to make my brows softer and not so aggressive. My hair is very dark brown and so are my brows but my skin is very fair with cool pink undertones. So I have to be careful not to go too dark with the brows. I remember doing the 2016 brows and my granddaughter who was only 7 or 8 at the time told me I had Angry Birds brows 😂😂 so I didn’t do that trend for very long lol

Marlena, do you have a link to a video on how you do your "liner".. It looks like maybe you do an eye shadow liner, but I don't know. I'm always trying to catch you while you're looking down but I just never do. I would also like to learn how you do it. It really gives your eyes a nice beautiful natural looking lift. I've been trying to practice a technique, and it's just not working. I would love to see how you do it. Thank you!

I'm one of those people that think some women look beautiful with thin eyebrows and some women look off and masculine with overly thick, harsh brows. I don't always think a woman looks younger with fuller brows. We've vilified thin brows. 😜

I don't think Kylie at 9:44 is a good example of the instagram brow, its more faded out and looks pretty good and I absolutely abhor the IG brow or really thick brows in general but there are much worse examples you could've picked. the front edge is not defined on kylie's brows which was a staple of the bad 2016 brow. the james charles one is a good example side note I'm glad I never did this, in 2016 I was going through a phase with ultra thin 90s brows

Am I the only Gen Xer who didn't pluck their brows??? 😂 I hated it as it hurt too much so I didn't do it and now I'm thankful because I still have great natural brows at 54! I did get them waxed a few times about 15 years ago but that was a very brief phase. I never got on that boxed brow trend either, or the "Oscar the Grouch" trend as I called it. It looked horrible on me. For the most part, I've just always kept them natural and never used product until after menopause when they started thinning out a little. It's just a pen/pencil to fill in any sparse areas, tidied up with a spoolie and that's it. I may use a clear gel if I want to lock them down. It's true what you said about the colour too, even though I'm naturally dark brown/black I need a much lighter shade of pencil because anything that is my shade is way too harsh and Oscar the Grouch looking. I'm going to try that last hack and play with the length of the tail to see how it looks. That's the beauty of makeup too, it's fun even just to play. Thanks Marlena 💜

the reason Demi Lovato's brows look weird is because of the way they're done, not the arch. That lady might look "iconic" with thick brows but she would be more objectively attractive with thinner, more arched brows. Maybe celebs want to look iconic but I think most people just want to maximize their beauty and straight brows aren't it, even if thats what you have naturally. Would've been good to show pictures of the same person with arched brows and straight brows but you're not showing it because it doesn't fit the narrative and would prove everyone (women atleast) looks better with arched brows.
