@@Emilyandlizzytv sorry IK I'm not Claudia but thought I'd share anyway, :) 1. make sure you make friends because they will be your emotional support system through the years 2. stay on top of your work because before you know it it becomes hard real fast. 3. make sure you're ready for hard work ahead of you 4. lastly, don't forget to focus on your mental health too

i am a nicu nurse for a 2 years now and love it! definitely don’t hold babies all day and it is very mentally draining but so rewarding! best of luck!

there is way to much for just one comment! i work at a level 3 nicu (level 4 is the highest) we get micro premies 22 weeks to 42 week newborns! each nicu is different but at mine we run to the deliveries if we are needed to resuscitate the baby and bring them to the nicu to monitor until they are ready for home. there is a bunch of good youtube videos on “days in the life of a nicu nurse” and they do a way better job explaining all the details! :) but it is the best career and i love all the babies and families i care for!

This might be a dumb question but how do you learn about all the different types of nursing and what they do? I'm finishing up prereqs right now with hopes of getting into the RN program at community college. Everyone seems to have knowledge of all the terminology and stuff while I feel kinda lost and stupid lol I managed to get an A in my A&P1 class tho!
