Had one of them suburban 12 tractors. Found it in a shed at a trailer park I worked for. Seemed in excellent shape except for the rotted tires and leaking carb. Even had a scoop bucket on the front

My dad had a rear engine 24" cut Sears riding mower with slicks all the around and a swing around handlebar instead of a steering wheel, back in the mid to late 1960's. Used to reverse down a slope then slam it in forward to spin the tires on the grass. It'd take me about 5-6 hours to mow around obstacles, trees on the 1 1/2 acres of land.

My Grandfather was president of that in the mid 70's. Check out past presidents in their book, Kipfer. I'd stay there in late summer helping him for weeks get ready when in my teens. It was at the 4H park. It had trees. His wood business was Little Swiss Toy shop. See period pics of hobby building first booth inside on right. Grandma had gift shop in front room of house selling his tractors, wagons, and hay racks, cast iron steam engines, music boxes and cuckoo clocks they got from Switzerland. Fixed furniture for Wrights. Fixed old clocks. Amazing Grandparents.. Invented the lawn mower races there. Friend Roof took us through his factory. We'd visit a lot of participants farm shops in advance see how they're coming along. Remember guy with Holt crawler wheel in front. Gobs and gobs of Oil Pull and Rumleys there apparently popular in that area.

Yes it is, 50mph with a breath of the gas peddal! Its gnna take some suspension work to make it more drivable. But it is in its infancy, so I am very excited to see where I can take it!!

0:16 I own something similar. Ford LGT165 with a cast iron Kohler and a LT 12H with a blown 12hp Briggs. Both are in pretty good condition except the 1981 LGT165. I'm completely rewiring it and has a lot of attachments.

Engine stopped once hot, on a hot day, inside a metal box…& restarted after some time (cooling)… Heat soak. You overheated the carb & boiled the gas in the bowl. That holds the float closed. To prevent that run a fuel return line & add an overflow connection to the bowl, so the pump keeps fuel cycling through the bowl.

crofton bug had a crosly 4 cly ohc motor they were made in san diego , ca. . i worked at a shop the ol man crofton came to but that was in the 80's long after he made the bug . some of the bugs had two 3 speed trans back to back
