Since the Erherium and Ravencoin halvings I've started using a "seasonal" cpu/gpu miner strategy. Starting in the autum and running through the spring I start spreading various extra mining PC's around my apartment for heating which offsets the daily monetary loss in electricity mining. Currently the nights are still cold enough to justify running all the PC's, but that will be ending soon. Last year I started to diversify my hardware and purchased 10 Samsung A03S phones to mine Verus, very happy with the results. The phone "rig" and my gaming PC are the only things that mine 24/7/365.

I have a heat pump in my home and in spring, it's cheaper just to provide minimal heat with GPU mining, especially to offset the cooling from the heat pump water heater. Plus gotta use the extra solar power. Green is the future for profitability of the industry most likely, as well as high efficiency. I'm chasing efficiencies of 0.6 to 0.75 for hash.

I watched to the end. I also just bought 3070s for my 8 gpu rig. I've got 0.1011/Kwh electric. I can float quite a bit. Therefore, IDFC, I WILL gpu spec mine and stack. It's a hobby to me and if it pays extra on a market swing that's just a bonus to add more toys. Thanks for the vid RPM!

Mining in winter for heating, in summer from solar power for almost free. Rigs off durint the night. Here in Hungary is 0.19 a kWh, isn't worth it to earn 10-14 cents with the 3070 gpus..

GPU mining is nice because even if you temporarily lose and go negative (spend more electric than yield) you can declare it as a business expense and significantly lower your taxes. As far as speculation goes this is arguably much better than just buying the coin as you can kinda protect yourself.

Gpu mining is going to turn on/off for periods. It will almost be spec mining for next 2 years or more. I also think spec mining will get extremely difficult because of various aspects. Governments are cracking down on crypto, more importantly exchanges and miners. Plus, it's only a matter of time before a hacker recks everyone because spec mining greed. Most dont protect themselves when something new comes around. Throw in cost rising, especially electric, and it is starting to form the perfect storm. I say the play going forward is dont go into debt for anything. All my gear is paid off. I just turn it on when i see an opportunity or need some heat. If your electric is expensive, turn off some or all gear for a bit. Be patient. Good luck!

I keeped mining all the bear market! And i tough it was a good idea to mine and hold but for example i win 0.8 dynexs per 4 days back on 2023 and i mine like 5 months when it was at peak on 2023 now this days i make like 4.7 if you can tell it was a waste of time of mining at that time because is altmost at the same price so i really didnt get that much coin! Im so dissapointed, because i had hope when kaspa was gpu mining, just for a little bit i had hopes that it was going to be the ethereum killer but nevrr happened, i was getting like 300 kaspas peer weak and then appears a asic thst make thousands at day, lets face it maybe ehtereum was the last gpu mining hope.
