Exactly. I think the reason she was so destructive is because she was left locked in a room with no human interaction for a decent amount of time. Huskies are high energy and so without any outlet of course she’s going to be destructive. That combined with her being a former stray she probably wasn’t too comfortable inside the home and wasn’t properly conditioned and introduced to being inside the house. She’ll be so much better with some one on one attention and training!

Typically it’s not a good idea to keep mom with a pup because eventually the pup tries to dominate the mom & it can become very dangerous to have the two around each other.

Joey!!!!! My dog breeder has a Facebook group with all the owners of people who’ve gotten pups from them. I love that they’ve done this because I can see my pups siblings as well as parents. Also my girl is 11 months old tomorrow and it is so cool to see how her brothers and sisters are growing. I think the owners of your foster puppies would love this as it’s also a good outlet to ask questions. A handful of people were comparing when the females of my dogs litter were going into their first heat. It was a good heads up for the ones who hadn’t started. Honestly think it would be a great thing for you to do as well. Also it doesn’t put pressure on people to have an open social media account for their dogs, and who wouldn’t want to see their dogs siblings!

@@nettyspeaks I agree in some cases but for me I’m allergic to dogs and I cant have a regular pup and it was really hard to find a hypoallergenic dog for adoption so i ended up getting a really sweet boy and hes one now so yeah (but if you can avoid adopting dogs that were bred like that)

Someone like Joey who rescues dogs would benefit from them as well. As soon as I am in a place to rescue pregnant animals I am going to have a website similar.

I feel like this was the most connected group of foster animals you’ve had so far for me. Hi, Joey. Your pal the NY vet tech here. It hurts my heart that you have so many followers and no one has claimed May. This happens all too often to the mamas. There MUST be someone out there who can open their heart and home to her. I WISH someone who took a solo pup would have taken May. I do that with my rescues. Mama and one baby are a package deal. Omg the people that got March and January are so lucky!!! (Well anyone that got one of these puppies are extremely lucky!) but they look so different and are just adorable…..I just got 2 sisters! We were planning on only getting one but the people that were going to buy her sister backed out Bc they were having money issues with there business due to Covid…. And we just fell in love and didn’t want to separate them so we ended up getting her sister and it’s just been amazing! My dream is to foster just Joey or breed Bc we have so so much land! My ALL time dream would to have a rescue shelter Bc there’s SO SO many dogs/animals in need but it cost a lot….I could possibly get donations etc idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ that’s just my dream! But I’m happy they ALL found homes and I know May will also find a amazing home!

Joey, I've been called a crazy cat lady in the past but this is by far the hardest litter I've watched you have to foster and give away! When dogs lick their owners' hands, feet, face, and mouth, it is a sign of sweetness. This is a remnant from when they were puppies and used to lick their mothers for food. When a dog licks its owner, it is showing the same kind of affection to the owner as it would to its own mother. Some friendly dogs will lick their owners even if they have never met them before, a behavior that is often seen in puppyhood. This is a cute gesture, but it is a hygienically unsafe behavior. In such a case, it is better to stop the behavior by standing up and answer the dog's desire to be pampered by petting and playing with him a lot instead.

I’ve been watching these videos from the start of your foster journey. Never thought I would be a foster myself but here I am two weeks into fostering a puppy from Anguilla and I’m in the same boat. Rewatching this for comfort. My plan all along was to adopt him but unfortunately I still live with my mom and since it’s her house and her say, I wasn’t able to keep him. She also went behind my back and got him adopted out without my knowledge and I only have 2 days left. Luckily the adopting family is local and knows my mom and said I can visit him whenever I like. But it’s always going to haunt me knowing that he could’ve been my dog if I just didn’t live with her. Definitely not cut out for this foster life, I’ve been sobbing nonstop for days now. But fostering truly is so important and I want to thank you for all these videos and saving so many lives throughout the years. ❤

Again, thank you for introducing us to the new parents. It helps with the "letting go process" knowing they are going to loving homes. So sorry to hear that Mama May freaked out but it is understandable. Her job was to protect her babies and now the job is gone and I am sure she is feeling her purpose has disappeared. Her babies are gone and she doesn't know what happen. I really feel for this dog. it has been a rough ride for her.
