Cold water - always good. Doing what you guys did - just get in the cold water and out - hardest way to do it, for sure. One of the qualities I admire about you, Hazal, is that you are REAL and you present your REAL emotion on your channel, you don't pretend to be something you are not. More folk need to understand that you can excel at something without becoming an emotional robot. You can feel and emote and express and achieve excellence in your chosen field. Keep it up Sister. Getting in water with the ice frozen on the surface is on my bucket list. The whole 'walrus' winter plunge thing. Hard to do in Australia though! I've swum in water in winter that turned my whole body blue and purple, the first moment or two is a shock but once you get to doing laps, you feel plenty warm.

When I was a child this exactly happened. A wave rolled over me and slammed me down on the pebble beach. And the wave moved back and draw me over the pebbles back to the sea. And rolled over me again. I cried in fear.

I am very impressed. The average water temperature in winter here in eastern Canada is 5.5 C 🥶. I cannot usually swim in it during the summer. I love to swim. I've dove the coral reefs in the Caribbean and been in many lakes here.......but I have never gone into the ocean here in the winter. I just can't. Very good for you doing it. 😁👍

In order to endure cold First you need to get to use it, i mean you need to prepare your body with cold water showers, if you had a bath tub same thing fill it with cold water and try to endure the most as you can, use your breath to control your mind. Now you body is get use to cold water now is time to put some ice in your bath tub and repeat the same process Now go outside with few layers of clothes during cold days That is the way you need to follow to endure cold weather. Not getting warm but doing the opposite.

I live near the sea but never swim on the first as a lot of people my country 🇿🇦 do it every year on the first as part of a cultural thing so the water is usually packed and suspiciously warm in places 😂. I have been swimming every Xmas day instead when everyone is home with their families. He he. Luckily the ocean isn't so cold where I live or else I definitely wouldn't 😅😂. Well done hazal. Shoulder muscles probably just tensed with the cold. Doubt it did any damage

Yeah, I was thinking something similar, but it is contextual, not that many surf beaches in the UK. For sure if I was recovering from an badly injured arm i might also feel as Hazal did - some concern that I might have to use that arm if the waves knocked me off my balance - THAT would worry me even in small waves. These were small but they seemed to have plenty of power - mini dumpers. Standing on stones is also less secure than standing on sand, some of the UK beaches I've walked on were downright dangerous for the balance challenged like me.
