Hang on! You're starting in Dee Why and going to Bondi and you're driving over the ANZAC bridge? Guess things have changed sin e i lived there.

We’ve had this a few times, is there an alternate route? Maybe because we want to avoid tolls. I don’t know how it happened! 😅 - James

The Icebergs Swim Club Bondi Beach: During the winter months (May to the end of August) Ice blocks go in the pool in the early morning when the swim club uses the pool and this lowers the water temperature. It's apparently good for circulation! The club was set up to keep life guards fit during winter and they have to competitively swim 3 Sundays out of 4 for 5 years to qualify as a fully fledged Iceberg.

Interesting! It was freeeeezing, that’s for sure. It’s such a good idea for life guard training, we didn’t know that! - Josie

I'm glad the young lady knows something about the regional geography and has a location awareness when traveling. Obviously done her research before leaving home.

@@JamesandJosieTravel It is a beach of convenience because you can get public transport and go to Sydney CBD . I love remote beaches that are untouched and have it all to yourself . I hope you are having a great time .

I enjoyed the video, but still wondering 1. how you ended up crossing the Anzac Bridge going from Dee Why to Bondi? and 2. Why you wouldn't have gone to any of the great beaches on the north side to avoid the city?

Much smarter to have stayed at Dee Why. All beaches on the Manly side have pools you can swim in. As a kid I swam all over the beaches from Palm Beach to Manly. There are LOTS of them and they are all good. Have fun. Mike in Oz

@@JamesandJosieTravel 'Ruined' was probably the wrong word. It is no longer an enjoyable place to be in the summer time because of overcrowding. That's actually what I meant.
