Man, I love Ryan and have been a fan since he joined 9-1-1 but this is so disappointing. Seeing him go on a podcast that is so outwardly homophobic and misogynistic really rubs me the wrong way. I do hope he doesn’t share those views

Wouldn't be my first rodeo finding out that someone i formerly thought was a good person is in fact not necessarily as good as i had hoped.

What in the world was this? Was this an interview Ryan did as a favor? I can think of a number of different shows and magazines would interview him but he goes on this platform. Her energy is very lean into whatever a man wants. Good grief. This is so disappointing. Ryan is a good person. I get it he’s straight. Ok. But he and Eddie are not the same person. Eddie is an awesome person. And I can separate the character from the person. So is this interview to just appease people who are more to the right??? It’s fine if Eddie is heterosexual. But it’s a huge slap in the face of wanting characters to be diverse. Also how old is this girl?

The girl is in her twenties I believe. I checked her Instagram and she literally has in her bio that men should always come before women in the relationship. Stuff with Ryan aside, it’s so heartbreaking to see a woman think so low of herself like that. Her views are clearly stuck so far in the past because of how indoctrinated she’s become by religion. I don’t think Ryan is homophobic or would have any issue with Eddie coming out as gay on the show. He’s played a gay character before and that is what makes the most sense for Eddie’s character arc. Still though, it’s disappointing to see him go on something like this

This was very disappointing coming from someone who’s actually portrayed queer characters in the past, we know we shouldn’t be criticizing or picturing someone we don’t know personally but man, we expected so much from you. And the host, your true colors are showing and they are not very bright if you’re preaching the lords word. Stop doing what you’re doing and get some education.

I’m disappointed as well that he went on this but I do not believe he’s homophobic. Like you said he’s played a queer character in a movie before, and has said he’s open to Eddie coming out as queer on 911.

Not convicted. Civil law is different and he never said anything about that. He was referring to everything else and tbf he may not have known.

You clearly have a problem with Ryan and Sapphire. Ironically by constantly posting on here your feed will now be dominated by them. Rather than attack and harass maybe research their lives, their motivations. And maybe rather than posting aggressive rubbish you could educate in a useful and polite manner. Be curious not judgemental. Be kind! The guys been open about his mental health and you think yay let's go post abuse. I won't even try to engage you on statistics about how few women report and how even fewer of them get rape convictions. Especially when they're taking multi-millionares to court. @ there is zero possibility he didn't know. He's literally referring to it IN THE INTERVIEW. That's what he was referencing when he said he was"stepping out on his wife". I prefer to call it what it was, which was a violent sexual assault. Besides, RG is into MMA, and McGregor is a known incel hero, so again, he absolutely knew and it wasn't a coincidence that he chose to invoke him.

No hate to the host and I get your new and make mistakes but for Ryan, a lot of things he said where very very misogynistic and the way he speaks is very ‘women do this and that for men’ spoken. It was so so very disappointing to see Ryan show who he really is as he person.

Nunca habia pensado en la cantidad de mujeres que deben acercarsele solo por ser famoso... Nadie merece una vida asi. The fact that people are surprised he's Christian kind of astounds me,considering he has mentioned in interviews he went to seminary school… I understand that you are very new to this kind of job,and that a learning curve is to be expected. No one is perfect at anything at first! I would advise you to try and diversify your questions a little more in the future, so as to appeal to a broader audience. It juat felt a little like you were interviewing him for a marchmaking agency at a certain point,when every question was about relationships, dating, his divorce etc..

Nobody is surprised he’s Christian, he’s been religious for a while we all knew that. We’re surprised that he went on a podcast that is so openly homophobic and misogynistic. I don’t know if Ryan shares those views, I would think not based on things he’s said in the past, but it’s disappointing to see him participate in this

I could listen to Ryan talk all day. His insight on various subjects is inspiring. I also rely on faith, trust and my intuition to keep me grounded. Im so happy he's experiencing self-love which will allow him to share himself wholly to his future partner. Well done Ryan! ❤

Because of what happened and it being public your questions were sort of narrow and that might be why some people noted misogynistic tones. But if you didn't know this then thats why your questions were the way they were and that's fine. It was just slightly like eeeek!!!

People really be reaching at times. People love to be the victim. Regardless of what, or who you think someone is, shouting it to the world will do nothing but push them or anyone else in a similar position to run further away. Let people live, and when things happen, then we can ask or discuss the topics. The women here I'm shocked about. I'm assuming you are young. Speculation does no good for anyone, except fuel the fantasies and smoke out the ones who make these topics their life.
