my TS is the same way. it's why my mom almost never let me have sugar as a kid. my tics were very bad from 14-18 but I was eating SO much sugar during that time. now that I've shifted to eating a mostly whole foods diet with minimal sugar (I mean, I still eat gummy worms from time to time haha) my tics have been more chill. I still have bad days, but I rarely have tic attacks these days. it's been about 6 months since my last tic attack

Most of my life, grateful my mom discovered this at an early age, I have avoided sugar, especially processed sugar. I’ve always said I was allergic, which I believe I am, because everytime i have sugar it absolutely exacerbates and brings on lots of tics, stress, hyperactive behavior, irritability, anger and behavioral issues. Thus, I avoid sugar like the plague. I generally only consume coconut sugar, doesn’t seem to effect me as much, and only a tiny bit in my coffee in the morning. Thanks for this info, it needs to be known

I don’t know anyone (that I know of) with Tourette syndrome so for me it’s a confusing disorder to understand when I’m coming in blind. I learned SO MUCH just watching a full attack and how you endure it, so I want to thank you! I think exposure REALLY helps people like me who want to understand, so we can act appropriately if we ever meet someone with tics. I’m really curious about the language: I feel like I can imagine having physical uncontrollable tics, but it’s harder to wrap my mind around making complex sentences. Have you done a video or is there a resource you’d recommend to learn about how/why that happens? I imagine that’s especially difficult to deal with in public. I love ACNH so much btw, thanks again for teaching people like me 😌
