Cub was willing to buy almost anything, but when Etho showed up I got the merchants dialog from Aladdin stuck in my head. xD "Wait, don't go! , I can see that you're only interested in the exceptionally rare. In the UK we call them car boot sales and we have them like 4 times a year where we drive to a massive field and we all sell our junk to each other. As a kid I used to take all my old toys and clothes and books and sell them and then wonder around and buy some new toys

Yard sale and garage sale are both valid terms; tag sale is also used (possibly more commonly than either of those?) in the part of the US where I'm from. Also, when Etho asked to buy your yard, you should've offered to sell it to him... by the yard. Minecraft blocks are a square meter, which we can round down to a square yard. How many yards of yard would Etho have been willing to buy?

Where I am in Canada we use both yard sale and garage sale. Sometimes garage sale specifies that it is held in the garage whereas yardsale means it is held on the front lawn but they are also used interchangeably.

In South Africa we have car boot sales, which is a similar premise to yard/garage sales, except instead of doing it by yourself on your own property it's lots of people at the same time and in a field or a parking lot or something

In the states garage sale is used more than yard sale, generally yard sale implies it is a bigger sale, where as garage sale implies something a little smaller.

Here in the South, yard sales are more common, though both happen frequently. It's really just whether you have it inside or outside. There are also weekends where entire stretches of highways are yard sale zones, and there will be constant yard sales and church bazaars for miles.

I live in the UK and I’ve never seen a yard sale but have been to a few car boot sales: where a few dozen different people will come to a weekly sale hosted in like a football field or school or somewhere, pay a few quid for a spot and then sell a bunch of stuff from their car. Most people just sell old stuff they don’t need, a few sell stuff special as like a part time job. Very popular in beach towns in the summer. But no American/Canadian style yard sales afaik
