btw: it's not only the cut to 8 rounds! They also "cheat" with the timer. The first seconds are running down normal but as soon you don't spend attention to the timer anymore, the speed up the counter and slow down again close to end of the round. Got the game Friday. Spent Saturday learning the game and played one match online Sunday morning and realized it was gonna be some bullshit online. Dude was spamming power shots the entire time and the lag makes the shots turn into air bending punches . I eventually won by KO by timing his spam in the 8th round with a hook. 100% agree. The power punches looks incredibly cartoony, and the stamina and spamming issues are breaking an otherwise very fun game. The controls are little bit stiff(maybe it's my ps4 controller?), but that's normal for such fighting games. I’m fully on agreement with you. Here are a few things that I think can make the game better and more fun for everyone. Fix the ghost punching More punches need to connect when they have legitimate openings, instead of throwing punches that makes no sense to a professional boxer… Like throwing jabs and hooks above opponents heads that would clearly land in most situations or punches just completely stopping mid animation as if the game decided, you need to miss these punches… just because. These punches should be like layups. POWER SHOTS……. Should be limited per round OR Should take major overall stamina depletion 3-5% per punch if abused, misused, and/or miss….OR Make the countering system more rewarding for those who counter power shots properly. Like countering power hooks, overhand, should do 20-35% more and would essentially make spamming more prone to stuns, flash knock downs, and one hitter quitters. Add an adrenaline rush for countering 4 to 5 power shots in a round, that last 5-7 secs. Again reward good clean boxing!🥊 PUNCHES…. Make uppercuts snap necks back more and have a unique sound effect for them. More snap in hooks and straights, with better animations(more hip) and not over-exaggerate. Some characters get stiff when throwing punches. Allow us to throw punches while holding RT or R2 (PLEASE) OR ATLEAST ADD THAT TO CONTROLLER CONFIGURATIONS. Replace the punches that simply do not look authentic to boxing. Reward the players that box properly. Box properly and your power shots become more effective, and you retain more stamina, and combinations become more deadly, especially against spammers!! STUNS…….. It’s way too difficult to finish an opponent with this rubber ball, bouncing off the opponent system. Which is essentially just pushing. That’s why clenching is necessary. Pushing someone off when you’re already gassed is so unrealistic. That should penalize stamina even more just for pushing. WBC Arena…… Remove the cameraman!! Player SFX Add more sound effects and grunts. The ones that are currently in the game are not good. It sounds like they’re taking a 💩. And everyone has the same sounds FX. FINALLY…… Rage quitters must take an L!!!! Give us dedicated players the W!!! Show player DNF percentage & let us choose whether we want to fight them Pair them up with other rage Quitters!! And allow players to choose what side they want to fight on, or allow everyone to fight from the left side because of the advantage that comes along with fighting from the left side!!! And allow us to choose whether we want to box someone with a bad connection or NOT. Online synchronization must e address!!! These are just of few of many observations I have for this game.

The funniest part is the power punches are so telegraphed😂. LITERALLY something that good boxing technique eliminates. No conditioned boxer is going to gas out that early from power punches, maybe mid fight, but not that early. Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Tyson, David Tua etc... plenty boxers threw power punches from round 1 to whenever the fight ended

The amount of glitches is hilarious. Ghost punches landing, punches that hit nothing, the janky player models which function like smack down v Raw 2010.

Fight night champion had the best & most realistic punch mechanic/ movement. Fight night 4 had fight punch the same way but champion is elite

I’m playing career mode until the online is fixed. Sadly I lost a few games to start by actually trying to box. Only way to win is spamming power punches and even when I won I felt bad

The studio never really focused on the gameplay since it's debut almost two years ago. The splash screens show so many partners that show it's been outsourced in almost every single aspect. The marketing money has gone to drown out criticism and make a narrative that Early Access players were just man children who complain and have unrealistic expectations. The game actually was better and more competitive in the february update. The graphics went to shit and now a steam deck can run the game on ultra.. They put ZERO effort into the PC version with a copy paste console version and a lot of us were calling it out the whole time. Career mode had nothing added to it. Yet people are still trying to think the game is going to get all this money reinvested by the studio. They didn't even put in a replacement for ryan garcia! And the effort in the DLC was NOTHING. RJJ doesn't even have his 93 block hair bar above his neck! Lowest effort that tthey are now gonna just repeat and drip feed for the rest of the game. Players gotta actually hold this studio accountable. Great honest video bro. Definitely gained a sub for this honest take.

The power punching, hit registration, stamina, the player doesn’t throw slower or move slower when gassed out. Fun when sparring with my friend tho.

I didn't buy the game because I wasn't impressed by the mechanics at all. How does a boxing game in 2024 look worse than fight night. I'm convinced no game will compare to fight night unless the old developers come back
